I end up leaving the party early and Mum isn't pleased at all when I head out without her. Did I overthink? Maybe she didn't plan anything. Even if she did, meeting both Wade Rider and Panda King when I am dressed like this is the worst thing that could happen.
My head is slightly hurting after being exposed to the loud music, dancing and drinks. We came in a taxi so I'll have to call another one to get home.
It's still early and Mum will probably take longer so I can walk around for a while and clear my head. I'm still hungry after eating a lot of the snacks. Maybe the dancing made me burn it off.
Walking out of the gates and onto the street, I check on my phone for the nearest shop. It's fifteen minutes away. Following the map on my phone, I walk down.
The street lamps are on already, illuminating the dark streets. As I continue on my way, loud voices distract me. Listening carefully, I realise they are coming from the alleyway.
Walking faster, I step into the dark alleyway. Three drunk men are ganging up on a woman who looks frightened as they trap her.
Glancing around, I pick up an empty champagne bottle lying around and slowly walk towards them. They haven't noticed me yet.
I put a finger against my lips when the woman sees me and she stays silent as I hold up the bottle.
"How dare you bastards gang up on a woman like this!" I shout loudly as I smash the glass bottle over the middle man's head. The other two seem shocked at my sudden attack and turn towards me.
"Get her!" The middle one whom I attacked screams and they run at me together.
I grin. This will be fun. I haven't had a real fight in a while. Flexing my limbs, I warm up as they approach.
"Who is getting who?" I smirk as I punch the two on the side simultaneously with my fists and head-butt the middle one.
"Bitch! You think we're scared of you?" One of them says and tries to attack me again. I dodge and kick his shin, causing him to topple down.
"You clearly don't know me." I say smugly as I kick the other two as well. Dramatically, dusting off my hands, I stand tall as they curl up in pain on the ground.
"Wh-who is this wench?" One of them whimpers.
Grinning, I fold my arms, "You better hope we won't meet again or it will be worse than this. Oh, and remember to never lay a hand on a woman again or I will make sure to chop them off if I witness something like this again." I warn before stepping over them and returning to where the woman is.
She seems better than she did earlier. The colour in her face has returned and instead of fear, she stares at me in awe.
"Wow, how did you do that?" She asks as I hold a hand out to her.
"It's nothing. I'm actually a bodyguard so I'm used to thugs like them. Next time, make sure you bring something to protect yourself with." I say gently as she stands up.
"I'm Ciarra." She smiles. Now that I can see her properly, she is beautiful. Her brown bambi eyes glow in the dark and she has long wavy black hair which I feel a little envy over.
I smile, "I'm Tin...a."
"You were brilliant back there. If you could teach me, I would be honoured." She says happily.
My face heats up at her praise. "It was nothing. I'm usually busy but maybe when I have time, I can teach you a few ways to defend yourself in this kind of situation."
"Please. I'm so glad you came to help me. Usually people turn a blind eye and walk pass, not wanting to get involved." She says sadly.
I pat her shoulder comfortingly, "You come across this often?"
"Yes. I wish I didn't attract so much attention. Men are all the same."
"I agree. Men are all jerks but if you can protect yourself that would benefit you in the long run. I'll make sure to teach you when I have time." I promise.
Ciarra seems like a good person. She can't be much older than me.
"Can I have your number? We can keep in touch." She smiles.
We exchange numbers and I walk her out of the alleyway.
"Oh by the way, I almost forgot to tell you that you didn't wear shorts." Ciarra says as we walk side by side.
"Huh?" I ask in confusion. Why is she telling me that? Of course I didn't...
I gasp and glance down at my clothes. I forgot I was in a dress when I was fighting. I groan in embarrassment and cover my face with my hands.
"Did you see?"
She nods and I groan louder.
"It's fine. The bad guys were too busy in pain to notice." Ciarra reassures me.
I force a smile, "Yeah. Probably."
"Give me a call when you're free." She smiles as we reach the luxurious hotel. Ciarra must be a rich person too.
Why am I surrounded by rich heirs?
