"Tina, come out and talk to me."
I groan and stand up. "Why Mum? There's nothing to tell you."
"You didn't even wait to meet Bryan." She says through the door.
Bryan?
"Who?" I ask in confusion and open the door.
She walks inside my room and sits down on the bed. "Aunt Camellia's son. He was looking forward to meeting you."
I roll my eyes, "So that was your plan. You wanted me to meet him."
"I know my daughter is clever." She smiles happily.
"Well, I had other things on so I had to leave. Anyway, I'll be going back tomorrow morning Mum." I say.
"You and Liana must be close." She smiles.
"Huh?"
"Does she have a brother? Maybe I should try to set you up with–" She drifts off into her dream world.
"Mum! Earth to Mum!" I say loudly, waving my hand in front of her face.
"Ah darling. As I was saying, maybe Liana's brother could be perfect for you."
"Are you serious Mum? I'm there to do my job, not to have relationships."
"But I'm worried that you will be an old spinster with a cat soon if I leave you to your own devices." She says in concern.
"Mum, I am fine as I am right now. Let's leave it to fate. I'm already busy as it is. I don't need any extra burdens." I explain. I know she is naturally worried that I will be alone but I'm not interested in a relationship right now.
"Fine darling. I'll leave it for now but if you are still single next year, I'll have to set you up again." She says, standing up.
Rolling my eyes I nod. Let's hope I am miraculously not single next year then.

Back to being Tin, I return to the King mansion the next day. Panda actually gave me two days off but I don't want to hear my mother nagging me about relationships again.
"Look who is back."
I jump, startled at seeing Wade again so soon.
"You look frightened. Don't worry, my lips are sealed." He says quietly as he sits down next to me on the sofa.
"I'll kill you if you spill anything." I hiss threateningly at him. I know he won't but I have to take extra measures.
"Don't worry, don't worry." He laughs, ruffling my hair.
I scowl and slap his hand off my head. "Stop messing my hair."
"Your angry face is so amusing." He chuckles, pulling his hand away.
To be honest, I am glad we're acting normal. I thought he might be awkward around me after his confession but it's like it never happened. He was probably joking.
"Move over there." I say coldly, pointing to the chair on the far end.
He pouts and stares at me, "Why? I thought we were cool. We even danced–"
As fast as lightning, I cover his mouth with my hand, stopping his words. Like they say, the walls have ears. I can't trust that no one will overhear our conversation.
"What are you doing?"
We both unanimously turn to Panda who has just walked into the room.
I quickly remove my hand from Wade's mouth and wipe it on my top.
"Nothing." I mutter, glaring at Wade. He'd better keep his mouth shut.
"Tin and I were just messing around." Wade smiles, turning to Pan. "You know, Tin's face is the best when he is mad."
I should have just killed him yesterday! I glare at him.
"Really? I thought he looks best when he is aslee..." Pan coughs suddenly and stops.
Wade's red-pink eyes are wide as he stares at Pan. "What did you say?"
"Nothing." Pan says quickly before glaring at me.
What did I do?!
"Come with me Tin." He says before walking out.
"What's he up to now?" I think aloud as I follow.
"Good luck Tin." Wade winks. Yes, I should have killed him.
"Why do you want–" My mouth stops as Pan pulls me into his room.
"Choose which shirt you want. We're going to the beach."
I stick a finger into my ear. Did I hear him correctly?
"Beach?!" I ask incredulously.
He nods, "Yes. I need a break."
I shake my head, "I don't need a shirt."
"Come on Tin. You literally wear the same thing all the time." He complains.
He's right. I interchangeably wear the same tops.
"That's none of your business." I say, annoyed for no reason.
Tugging at my arm, he pulls me down onto the bed next to him. "Just choose. Don't waste my kindness."
"Your kindness is what's weird." I mutter as I sift through his many shirts strewn on the bed.
As I turn to pick up a black shirt, Pan places a hand on it at the same time as me and we glance at each other. I can hear his breath as he inhales and exhales. What is this feeling?
"Not this one. Choose a brighter colour." He says softly.
"Fine." I say. "Can you move your hand first?"
He seems flustered as he hurriedly takes his hand off mine.
