Chereads / His Beloved Bodyguard / Chapter 16 - Chapter 14

Chapter 16 - Chapter 14

"That's enough!"

The creepy man is thrown off me and I lie there, frozen in shock. Is this really worth my wage?

"Tin, are you okay?" Pan's voice asks in concern as he helps me up. He turns to the sleaze-bag on the floor and holds up the document he gave earlier before tearing it into shreds.

"Our deal is off. Don't bother coming to see me or my father ever again." Pan says harshly.

"W-Wait! Mr King!" The man says, clinging onto Pan's trouser leg.

"Get lost or I will call the police." Pan says threateningly.

"P-police? Mr King, listen to me–"

Pan kicks him away before grabbing my arm, "Come on, let's leave Tin."

He takes me out and opens the front passenger side door of the car.

"I-I'll drive." I say, still in an unstable state as I walk to the driver seat.

"No. I don't think you can drive like this." He says and pulls me back. "I'll drive. You sit still in the passenger seat."

I don't argue as I quietly sit inside. My mind is a mess. I'm so shaken up. Suddenly, Pan reaches over me and my breath stops as he leans closer. I sigh in relief when he puts my belt over me.

He gives me a weird look before driving off.

As soon as we get back to his mansion, I run up the stairs silently and rush into my bathroom. Turning the shower on, I scrub at my neck frantically, trying to get the disgusting feel of that man's lips off me. Tears pour out of my eyes and mix with the shower water as I take off my top and stand there in my vest, scrubbing at my neck with my fingernails.

I don't know how long I stay there for, but I am interrupted by the door flinging wide open. Staring in shock at Panda King's furious face, I automatically cover my chest before remembering I am still wearing my vest and binder so I won't be discovered.

"What are you doing?" He asks. His eyes travel to my neck and widen as he stares. "Why are you doing this Tin?"

He walks closer and I step back.

"You're so silly." He says as he shakes his head and cautiously reaches out his hand. He holds my wrist and pulls me out of the shower.

"Why are you hurting yourself for that scum?" He says as he pulls me into a hug.

Maybe it's the warmth from his body or maybe it's all the stress from everything that has happened lately, but I find myself hugging him back and chocking on my sobs as I cry. I even forget that I am supposed to be a "man".

"It's okay Tin. You're fine now. You're safe." He strokes my head as I cry with my face against his chest.

I'm ashamed to think that I had thought he wouldn't help me in that situation. Maybe Panda King does have a caring side although he doesn't show it very often.

"You're like a girl." He laughs as I snuggle against him.

Blinking through tears, I stare up at him, "Shut up."

He chuckles and then looks at his shirt, "You got snot on me! Can't you cry a little neater?" He says as he takes his shirt off and throws it onto the floor.

Gulping as I see his sculpted body, I have to remind myself that I am a man right now. I can't be affected by his body.

"S-Sorry." I apologise.

Pan walks into the shower in just his boxers and I feel blood rush into my face. When did he take his trousers off?!

"What are you doing?" I say hoarsely.

"Showering of course." He grins and gestures to me, "Come and join me."

"No!" I say loudly. He's playing with me again.

"Don't be shy. We're both men. I'll help you clean the blood from your neck." He says gently.

"Blood?" I say in confusion. I was bleeding?

"You scratched it so much that it would be a surprise if it didn't bleed." He says.

"I-I'll do it myself." I mumble before turning away from him. I can't watch him like this.

"Are you okay now Tin?" He asks as I walk out.

"Yes." I answer quickly.

It's not safe to stay here anymore. I need to leave. It's not worth me losing my dignity. Slowly, I start packing my suitcase. I'll leave as soon as possible.

Writing a small note to him, I quickly leave whilst he is showering. I can't tell him properly.

Farewell Panda King.

When I arrive home, my family are surprised to see me.

"What about your work as a bodyguard?" My mum asks as she stares at me in concern.

I shake my head, "I've quit."

"You quit? So simply?" She asks in disbelief. "Are you running away from an issue?"

I sigh, my mother knows me too well. "It's nothing Mum."

"If it's nothing, you wouldn't be coming home in the middle of the night like this. Did you have a fight with Liana King?"

"It's nothing Mum. I just wanted to resign."

"Tina, I know something happened. If you want to talk about it, I'm here for you." She says.

I smile and hug her, "Thank you Mum."

Heading upstairs, I throw myself onto my long-awaiting bed. I missed the smell of home.

As I stare up at the ceiling, my hand reaches up to my neck. Ah, I was bleeding.

Standing up, I walk to the dressing mirror. I must have dug my fingernails in too much. Taking out the first aid kit, I clean the blood and put a plaster on it.

As I cover my neck, the memory of us sleeping together in the forest flashes into my mind. My face heats up as I think about it. He was caring back then too. Maybe this is just something I will look back on as a dream. Panda King and I aren't fated to stay together.
