After the party things were going well. I was doing well at work. Mom was learning to cook many things, and she really liked it. Mom and Emily were getting along well. According to mom Emily is doing very well in her studies. She has gotten really good with shields and wards. For the last week Gabriel has been teaching her to fight. She seems to be doing well there to. She is also getting along with the girls and Jax. All in all things are going very well.
Then two things happened. First Gabriel's wife had the baby. It is a healthy little boy. They named him Winter. I was surprised by the name, but I was happy for them. And yes, just like with Amber I had to help him. His dragon side was all scrambled with his human side. I fixed it before he could get bad. He is doing just fine.
And second, another young man showed up at our door this morning. His name is Gregory. Yes, he is a dragon. He is a weapons forger. I remember he made the most beautiful sword for me. I used it in the last battles. Now I wonder what happened to it. The brothers offered to take him in. I told him I would talk to him after work.
Today just seemed to drag on because I wanted to get home. I wanted to talk to Gregory about making me a new sword. I need to check up on Emily's training, and see how the other kids are settling in.
After running around all day I was finally finished. We headed home as soon as we could.
As soon as we got there I went to talk to Gregory.
" How are you doing? Are you settling in well? I wanted to ask you to make me a new sword. And second I was wondering if you would be willing to help train the younglings. There are four including my daughter"
"Your Majesty, not only would I be honored to make you a new sword. But I am just over the moon with doing it. I will start work on the design right away. As far as training goes, yes I will. I saw them practice today, and they could use some help."
" Thank you, I think it's good to have them learning multiple tactics. Gabriel's teaching them as well, but his wife just had a baby and so they are just practicing what they have learned so far. Would starting tomorrow be to much for you? I want you to have time to rest after your journey."
"Tomorrow will be fine. Maybe you should ask the brothers to help with the training. They were in the guard, and learning multiple tactics is always better than one or to styles."
"Thank you, I think I will go talk to them now. I will talk to you later."
After that I walked down to the end of the block to talk to the boy's. I knock on the door, Dorean answers it.
"Your majesty you honor us with a visit. Please come in, would you like something to eat or drink?"
"Thank you, I'll have some water if you don't mind. Also I wanted to talk to you and your brother, are they here?"
Dorean got ma a bottle of water, then he went upstairs to get his brothers. They all came racing downstairs and then bowed at my feet.
"Boys please get up. Don't worry your not in trouble. I wanted to ask for your help. You see my daughter and the younglings are learning how to fight and defend themselves. I would be honored if you three would help train them. Gabriel's teaching them as well, but he has to stop for a few days. Gregory will also be training them. Now I am asking you three to help as well. I want them to know as many different types of defense as possible. You know very well what works for one might not work as well for another. So will you help train them?"
The three men look at each other then at me and smile.
" Your majesty it would be our honor to train the young ones. But we ask that you make the warding stronger and over the whole block so we can move the training into the street. We think it would be a good idea to train everyone, not just the young."
"I like the way you boys think, I will talk to mom and see what we can do. Thank you all, I will see you later. I'll talk to mom now and get things going. Will you at least work with the young tomorrow?"
"Yes, your majesty we will start tomorrow. Have a good day your majesty. We will talk to you later."
When I left they were discussing the best way to start training the young. I on the other hand was trying to figure out how to shield and ward the whole block. When I got inside I talked to mom about it. It turns out she knows exactly what to do about it. But it would have to wait till Saturday morning. I went back and told the brothers they would have their shields and wards on Saturday. That started a whole new conversation. I left smiling, I was happy things were moving in a positive direction. I couldn't wait to see the rest of the houses filled with my people. There are still ten houses open, And hopefully eight more dragons to come home.
