Chapter 11 - Weekend Training

For the rest of the week I worked in the gift shop. I also visited the dragon and his family. I couldn't remember him at first, but when he told me his name was Gabriel it all came back to me. He was the First Lieutenant of my personal guard. Once I remembered who he was I met his wife Annie and his daughter Amber again. Amber was happy to see me. She couldn't wait to go home. She was so full of life compared to the first time I saw her.

On Friday I asked Gabriel to help me find the rest of our people. He said he would. He said he knew a few of them were here in town. I was so happy to hear that. He said once he got his family settled at home tonight he would make some calls. Then he would call me and let me know. I was very happy to know I would get to see more of my people soon.

That afternoon when Emily got home we did more practice. Mom and I put up a cloaking spell around the house so no one could see it when Emily transformed into a Dragon. She is getting very good at it. She can now transport to the spot she wants to every three out of five times. As far as calling things to her, she can do it every time. So I decided on Saturday we would take it to the next step.

That night at dinner I told everyone about Gabriel and his family. Everyone was so excited. I told Lilly he was planning to call once he finds the others. She offered to have them come over here when they can. I was so thrilled. She is one human that is a miracle to me on so many levels.

Later I helped Lilly with the dishes while Ariana and Emily worked on a few protection spells. As I walked into the kitchen I said, "You wash, I'll dry?"

"Sounds like a plan to me. But what's on your mind Sky?"

"Mainly I just wanted to say thank you. Not only for taking Emily in, but for what you did for my sister and brother, as well as what your doing for me and mom. Not only were you there when we needed some help at work, but now you are willing to let my people come here. I have met very few human, but I have to say you are the best one I have met so far. And I just want you to know how much I appreciate everything you have done, or will do to help us."

"Well to tell the truth I said you could have everyone over here not only because of the shields that are already up but because I believe they will be needed close for protection. I started having dreams last night about an attack coming. I don't know when it's going to happen or who will attack but in this house we have learned never to ignore our dreams. Maybe we could even talk some of them into the empty houses on this block."

" Would you write down everything you remember from the dream for me please. I think it would be a great idea to have some of them move near us. Also if anything changes in the dream let me know. would it be okay for mom to see your dream? She hasn't taught me how to do it yet, but I think it might help."

"If she is willing to do it, I would be happy to. All I want is to keep Emily safe. Can I ask you one question though? What's it like being an elf after being a dragon? And how strange is it to remember both lives."

"At first it was really strange. I had such horrific dreams about the last battle, and all I knew is I was leaving someone I loved dearly. Then the dreams changed and I knew something was wrong. It was mom who figured out that I was reincarnated into this body. She figured I had to be a Dragon. She just never thought I was the Queen. She has helped me so much I could never thank her enough. Then when the Dragon God came to us we knew everything. So I guess it was hard at first, but it has gotten easier."

"Well I'm glad I am just the Guardian and I won't have to fight, not sure I could do that. But I will help any way I can."

"I'm so glad your here. Now what do you say we go see what mom and Emily are doing?"

"Sounds good to me, we can put the dishes away later."

When we go out to the back yard we find Ariana throwing small rocks at Emily from the left side, while throwing small cans at her on the right side, while throwing shoes at her in the front of her. Emily is doing very well at deflecting everything. Only one of every five items thrown gets throw the spell. After a few minutes Ariana calls a stop to it. You could see they were both getting tired. After they cleaned up we went in the house for the night. On Saturday we did more of the same things. I did add more of the shields that are already up because the next day we had planned to work on throwing things with Emily's mind.

After the afternoon practice session was done I got a call from Gabriel. He told me he found five of our people and asked where we could meet. I told him to bring them here. He agreed and said they would be here at noon on Sunday. I hung up and told the rest of the group. We had a lot to do to prep for tomorrow.
