Chapter 6 - Enticing offer

"You know him?"

"Well, you can say that," he casually answered before flipping the page over.

Sitting up straight, Evelyn curiously inquired, "How and in what way?"

Looking at the two women who were suddenly staring at him with glistening eyes, Rylan frowned, "What is up with that look?"

"Do you know him as a young retired musician or in some other way?"

"I know him for his profession as well but also because he is one of the top clients of our bank."

Twenty-nine years old Rylan Perez was the manager of The Bank of Molvania, one of the leading banks in the entire country. He had met Holly four years ago in a club and the two had been dating since then. He also became good friends with Evelyn later.

The three of them had been living together for three years now and shared a very close relationship.

"Evy's project is to find where Edward Wilson is and convince him to attend the event our company is organizing in three months' time," Holly explained.

Without taking his eyes off the page, he remarked, "I see but I think that is a very difficult task to execute. Mr.Wilson is a very secretive man, he doesn't like revealing himself in front of the media. He prefers staying out of the limelight these days."

"Uh huh we know, this is why we are looking for his address so that we can start stalking him."

"Stalking is punishable by law honey and how are you gonna do it when you don't even have his address or any other information?" Rylan casually inquired, failing to notice the mischievous look both women were gracing him with.

"Maybe we will have the address if someone helps us out," Holly stated.

"Like someone who works in a bank or something," Evelyn added.

"Yeah that would—" Stopping midway, he widened his eyes in shock before jerking his head towards them. Recognizing the look on their faces, he snorted, "No….No….No, I am not doing it."

Groaning in frustration, Evelyn grunted, "Oh come Rylan, it's just an address."

"Yeah, we are not criminals, we won't kill your client so don't worry," Holly sheepily assured him.

Vigorously shaking his head, Rylan denied. "No, I can't violate my clients privacy just because you both want to stalk him. That is completely against the bank protocols and it's illegal to pass on such private information."

"But—"

Cutting her off, he stated, "And even if it wasn't against the banks protocol, my ethics and principles will never allow me to do something like this. I work at the bank, I am not supposed to betray my clients."

Narrowing her eyes, Holly snapped, "Stop being such an ass babe."

"Exactly and it isn't like we are asking you to help us rob your bank, we just want you to get us the address." When Rylan did not say anything, Evelyn pleaded, "Please, help me out just this time and I swear I'll do the laundry all week."

"I will do the cleaning and cooking, you don't have to do anything for the entire week if you help us out," Holly added, making the offer more enticing.

He was about to say something when Evelyn interrupted him with one more offer. "We will let you watch the football match all day."

"And you can go for that trip you have been planning with your friends," Holly stated.

Raising his brows, Rylan pondered for a while. "Well the offer is surely tempting but I am still not very sure." Shrugging his shoulders, he added, "Maybe I will be sure if you both agree to pitch in for the PS5 I am planning to get next week."

Rolling her eyes, Evelyn scoffed, "Don't be such a miser, you are the most wealthy person in this room right now."

"Exactly, why would you ask us ducklings to pitch in when you can easily afford it all by yourself?" Holly frowned.

Shrugging his shoulders, he sighed, "Well that was my offer but if you girl don't wanna take it then it's okay. You can look for some other way to get the address." Without waiting for their reply, Rylan got up and pretended to leave.

"Stop—" Evelyn called him out. "Grumpily crossing her hands in the front, she unwillingly agreed. "Fine, we will pitch in."

Sticking out his thumb, he cheekily grinned. "Cool, you both have my account number. Transfer the fund and the address will be in your hands by tomorrow." Taking out his phone, he added, "Let me send you the split."

Gritting her teeth, Evelyn looked at Holly who was equally annoyed by her boyfriend's cheekiness. "He is an ass."

"Uh huh, there is no doubt in that."

"There you go." Shoving the phone inside his pocket, Rylan remarked, "I have sent the split in your numbers, transfer the fund and—" Rubbing his stomach, he added, "Please make some delicious food for me, I am getting hunger pangs already."
