Day by day, night by night, Dimash couldn't erase the memory of Chloe's glare when she left him broken. Every night, his nightmares get worse and worse. He sees images of his beloved wife surrounded by a pool of blood, his daughter unconscious. Because of these visions, the boy could barely sleep. Sometimes he would cry in his sleep and other times he would say nothing but just looking in his eyes you can see his fear and pain.
"Dimash, honey, are you still worried about Chloe?"
"Yes, I don't know what she would do."
"She must have a reason, she once did have a relationship with you. But it broke because she made the wrong move. But I can tell she regrets it. I can see she wants you back."
"Hafsah, I don't want her. I only want you."
Dimash looks at his wife, his eyes are wide with fear, his tears about to fall.
Hafsah looks at him and gives him a gentle smile.
"I know you are afraid, but don't worry, I will be okay with Mira."
Dimash gulps, he couldn't swallow his fear.
"You sure you can get out of here safely?"
Hafsah nodded.
"I'm your wife Dimash, I have to be responsible for our child's safety. As long you are safe, I and Mira will be safe, waiting for your return."
Dimash couldn't hold back any longer. He hugs her tightly, not wanting to let go.
"Please, don't hurt yourselves. Be safe for me."
"I will."
And then Hafsah takes Mira and leaves the house.
Dimash looks at his beloved wife and daughter, tears falling from his eyes as they fade from his sight. He slowly sinks to the ground and surrenders to the pain and fear he had kept hidden in his heart.
He lets out a painful scream, tears streaming down his face.
And that was how he spent the rest of his night alone.
Screaming.
