14/08/2020 - Eiffel Tower, France. Queeneth in all of her dreamy glory written by sireebuka

"Come on my love, let's go up there! I definitely want to get the best view of the Eiffel Tower, I don't know about you!, " Queeneth bellows at the very top of her voice, beckoning on me to walk faster than I was walking but I could not increase my pace for two reasons:

In my hands, comprised of a heavy, cozy white blanket and a picnic basket that we were going to make has of once we got to the rooftop to catch the beautiful overview of the Eiffel Tower standing gloriously in the centre of Paris so the stuff I had in hand was holding me back from hastening my pace despite the fact that I myself, was dying to spend quality, surreal time with her for the first time since we had gotten to France.

We arrived in France only a week ago after the results came out with my most beloved queeneth being the gorgeous winner of the writing contest and we'd gotten a free ticket to France as promised in the poster we skimmed through and ever since we arrived, we've been busy attending events and ceremonial award shows with Queeneth receiving plaques and plaques of awards for a story wonderfully written.

Apparently, the story had blown the minds of people more than we both imagined that it would. Queeneth has had to render speeches upon speeches at remote towns in France about the personal experience of Blount's disease and several other personal things that people just wanted to know about her since she became an epitome of adornment.

People had even made her sign her autograph and so did I because oh well, I was a lead character in her story just like I am in her actual life so it's been a pretty busy but splendid week but nothing was more splendid than seeing Queeneth smiling from the very depths of her soul and that was exactly the second reason why I could not really walk faster than I was already walking.

Watching her in her pink, flaired dress with her short hair looking just like the crown perfectly suited for her dreamy face, joy overflowed like a spring of fresh water from my heart. She was indeed, the dreamiest of all; the dreamer of all dreamers and my own dream come true.

Just as the top and bottom parts of the sun got enveloped by the seemingly comfy, pink evening clouds, birds flew just around the horizon as though aiming to steal attention to be adorned by the evening sky from the center of attraction itself — the Eiffel Tower.

The light from the tower and the other buildings lying right below, shimmered right into Queeneth's dark irises, twinkling with a jewel-like effervescence that made me wish to dive right in them desperately.

I was so proud of her that it suddenly began to feel like I didn't even deserve her. She was such an amazing and strong entity, entirely different from any other human being I'd came across. Right from the very first day I saw her at my house, she was only just nine or ten years old, I knew I felt something rare for her.

She used to come with her mother to see my dad, the physiotherapist. I wished she'd come to play with me instead but it wasn't like we could really be friends since she was my Dad's patient and more because I was feeling shy and even pity for her?

Yeah I guess that was it.

Watching her writh in pain when my dad massaged her bones made me wince and withdraw myself even further. I clearly had to be the last person she would want around when she was going through all of that pain.

But I was grossly wrong.

But thank God for my dad who subconsciously paid a huge role in our love story, he assigned me to assist him with helping Queeneth whenever she came for a physiotherapy session and we started to get really close and I got to know who she really was and it made me wish I didn't make those silly assumptions.

I could stand still and watch her smile all night long from where she stood but I deemed it wise to hurry up to the rooftop so we could spend the time we had not been graced to spend.

Once we got to the rooftop that gave us the perfect, magnificent view of the tower, I placed the white blanket neatly on the rooftop with the basket containing frozen yogurt and a few pack of potato crisps descending next.

"Sit down." I tapped on the blanket, motioning for my lady to seat and she did so curtly and then I took a seat afterwards.

My lady first.

I wrapped my arm around her shoulder as she rested her head on my thigh again, her seemingly favorite part of my body as the warm, refreshing, foreign air wafting right onto our presence, the Eiffel Tower static, afar off, radiating in all of its touristic, magnificence.

"The Eiffel Tower definitely looks just as beautiful as I see it travel blogs. Probably even more beautiful in fact."

"I guess this place is ticked off your bucket list then. How do you feel being here right at this moment?" I ask, brushing my thumb and drawing minute imaginary circles on her short, curly hair.

"Are you really asking me that now, Sire?" she scoffs.

"Of course I am."

"Hmm. Well, of course, you know that I find it great but it's the most beautiful, heartwarming and certainly the dreamiest of all things. It feels surreal being with someone that means so much to me in the city of love. It's still unbelievable that I can't seem to find the appropriate words right now but my heart is mirthful."

"There is certainly more to it. I can only try to visualize what your heart is like right now being in this beautiful place right now. I'm so proud of you, Queen. You really did an amazing job. It was indeed a masterpiece and I—"

"I would not have mustered enough courage or confidence to write that powerful story if it weren't for you, Sire. I've always loved to dream dreams but I had no idea as to how to live those dreams and bring them to the best of reality but you taught me that, Sire. We really can bring our dreams to reality by using the tools we have to paint the best, tangible image of those dreams."

"It is indeed a sign of faith. Faith in your dreams and I myself did not know far and mighty the pen could bring us. It brought us this far, like a destiny we only needed to activate."

"All I needed to do was to pick up my pen, " se said looking at me now and smiling serenely.

Seizing that as the best moment to claim her lips with mine, my tongue stroked, carressed and kept in constant motion with hers, never ceasing the dance of dreamy blissfulness on each other. Her lips kept busy as well with equal fervor, holding mine prisoner with a persistent, intoxicating rhythm that sent waves of delicious heat through my body.

The moment the sun's last warming rays vanished below the earth, the warmth seemed to be sucked out of the landscape like the juice from an orange. My skin became cold and clammy. Queeneth started to shiver.

Withdrawing from the drugging mishmash of our lips, I take her palms in mine, producing warmth from my fingers that seep onto hers, never wanting to let go.

"So...what's next now? What is the next best thing you want to achieve?"

Staring right at me, the lights glimmering the young night shone even brighter in her eyes like fireflies swarming round a river, a ball of ornate chandeliers. She smiled, wholeheartedly.

"I want to get my final surgery done here in France before we leave. It's the reason why I wrote my autobiography in the first place. It's been my biggest dream to walk with perfectly straight legs like that of a runway model."

Taking her hands into my mouth and planting it with a kiss, I smile in return.

"Then surgery it is, my love."

The end
