Josh sighed with relief and asked, "What are we going to do with the rocket fuel?"
His teacher Isaac stood up and started explaining, "It will be a majority vote, either we'll play with bottle rockets or we can wait for the hydrogen peroxide decompose and turn to water"
A majority vote it was, almost all of the students clearly wanted bottled rockets and raised all their hands. The peer pressure also made the others raise their hands, the class all wanted to have fun and the first choice gave it.
Isaac saw all the students and started going to the class exit "If that's the case, wait for about five minutes I'll get more hydrogen peroxide from the science club"
Josh asked, "Science club? Is the science department not the science club?"
"If you get grades above 95% you will be allowed to join the science club where everyone there does their own potentially useful experiments" Isaac exited the classroom
Unlike what professor Isaac said the it took 10 minutes of going back and forth of getting 100 liters of hydrogen peroxide carried by carts.
" The bottle rocket is going to be big, and it could be dangerous if we don't use it on a controlled environment" Isaac started taking the class in two rows to go to a testing facility.
Josh wondered, 'How the hell does this school have enough budget to not only have multiple departments, but also enough to have this huge facility'
The facility had two parts, the outdoor testing area and the indoor testing area. The outdoor area has at least two hectares of space and it was used for actual experiments to make sure nothing explodes in the indoor facility.
The outdoor facility already had the bottle rocket ejector by using railways to transport machines.
Isaac used the railway to transport the 85% h2o2 and some manganese (IV) oxide. The platform had two pipes flowing in it to give it rocket fuel and use the manganese as catalyst.
The bottle in the platform was almost as big
as an adult human and it was about to fly up.
"Go to the glass covers, I don't feel like getting fired for making students injured" Isaac started first started pouring 5 liters of the h2o2 and the manganese. The rocket bottle had a weak spot at the bottom so that the bottle will release it as vertical velocity, the rocket rose up to 300 meters in 5 seconds before falling back down.
"What goes up must come down, is the rocket gonna accidentally land on us?" Somebody beside Josh asked,
"You'll see, France Stephen." Isaac reassured France,
The falling rocket got caught by a net when the rocket fell to 50 meters.
Isaac asked, " Do you want me to add more h2o2? Or more manganese?"
Most of the class picked adding manganese, they thought that adding it increased the distance. Isaac poured the same amount of h2o2 but increased the manganese and the rocket. The rocket this time broke the sound barrier and travelled about a 100 meters more.
"Class dismissed, It's time for lunch"
