"It must've looked like telekinesis but it is not." I said and peeked a glance at Mister Bolter's expression. "I can control gravity." I confessed.
"In a short period, a wood is inside enclosed in a box where I changed the gravity force and when they're all aligned, I forced it to my direction and broke them. While for the last five, I put both sides of the woods in a heavy force down and I applied the opposite force in the middle. Making them break into two." I explained calmly.
With a half-gaped mouth Mister Bolter, he nodded at my explanation and wrote something down on my paper.
"It's impressive that you can do that to two or more things at the same time. Moreover, you applied different forces not only to one." He said. "And it also took over my control on them."
"I see." I heard Theodore at the benches. "That's why you suddenly kissed the floor." He added and I realized that he was preferring to Neodelle.
"He what?" Vantel confusingly asked.
After me, the latter went to get tested until we all finished. After that, we got free two hours to do our daily exercise for our attendance. To be honest, just the thought of exercising again makes me lazy.
"Are you going to sleep in the dormitory again, Violet?" Virgo asked when I sat down the chair and put my plate on the table. It's time for our and we're all properly dressed up in uniforms.
"Actually... I'm thinking about sleeping in my room here but I didn't bring any clothes." I said.
"Do you even need clothes with that get-up?" Neodelle asked in a bored tone while focusing on eating his food. On the other side, we were all speechless by what he said.
Something was wrong with what he had said. Everyone knows it just by the silence that they gave to his question.
"Bro..." Theodore broke the silence. "Don't tell me you want to see her naked?"
Everyone was caught off guard while Lily choked on the food that stayed in her mouth even before Neodelle spoke earlier. Even I was shocked to hear it and at the same time embarrassed. Naked? Me?!
Neodelle glared at Theodore beside him. "You..." He spoke his name with a warning tone and without anyone predicting it, he kicked Theodore's chair which made him fall to the floor.
"Nobody heard Theodore." Aaron said. I got to hear his voice after being quiet for the past few days. I almost forgot about him, to be honest.
Everybody started eating while a few of them were still talking about their days before I joined them. Virgo nudged me since she was on my left side so I turned to her. I tilted my head to ask why she did that because my mouth was full to ask.
With a teasing smile, she pouted at Neodelle so I looked at his direction. What's wrong with him? "Look at his ears." Virgo said and I looked at his ears like Virgo said.
Surprisingly, it was red.
Uhm... "What's with that?" I asked after gulping the food in my mouth. "Is he gonna erupt or something?" Since he is kind of a volcano.
Virgo giggled at my question and shook her head before continuing to eat her food. Since she has no plan to answer my question, I looked at Neodelle and he was eating with his ears still red. I was thinking why was he red. Is it a bad thing?
Somehow, he suddenly looked at me and when he saw me not eating my food with my head facing him, he arched an eyebrow. He probably thought I was watching him. Which is true, by the way.
I just ignored him and continued eating.
When the dismissal bell rang, the three went to me hurriedly. "Let me show you to your room!" Lily said as she took my wrist while Delora and Virgo were behind her.
"You all seemed to be excited, huh?" Vezkud chuckled.
"They're all happy to have another babbling friend." Aaron tiredly said. "Don't you know that talking is tiring?"
"Keep your 'don't-you-know' to yourself, Aaron. You just don't have friends." Virgo retorted.
"Harsh."
"Harsher than you, yes."
The girls took me out of the classroom and dragged me throughout the hallway. At the very end which I never got to see was a wide space with sofas, couches, and tables.
The view outside was clear because of the huge glass wall and the mixture of orange and yellow painted afterglow in the sky creates a cozy and warm atmosphere inside. There was also a large clock on the wall next to the huge glass wall.
"This is the reception room. This is where your family or friends can wait for you when they will check on you. We even hold celebrations here and also laze around sometimes." Delora explained. Somehow, I went silent at the word family.
They continued dragging me into another hallway with two doors on each side. Delora pointed at the door on the left end side of the hallway. "That will be your room."
"But I don't have my clothes with me."
"You don't need to worry," Virgo said and dragged me in front of the door of my room. "The closet and other things in that room are connected to the things in your room in the dormitory. So, it means, you don't need to carry some baggage just to move your things here."
Oh. Now I know.
Lily tapped my shoulder. "We will come again later at night. We will go to the hot spring later."
That earned my attention. There's even a hot spring here?
When they all took their leave, I opened the door and entered the room just to see a clean, neat, and wider room than the room in the dormitory. Oh, riches.
I went to the refrigerator, closet, cabine,t and even the drawer of my study table. They were right. It is connected to my room since all of my things are there. In the closet that I opened, I stared at the pyramid-like stock of bandages that is still unused.
I slid my finger on the table, counter and on any things that I can touch. They're not properly cleaned and that made me pissed. There were some specks of dust left on my finger.
That headmaster... Giving me a room full of dust. Does he want to be dead?
After eating my dinner alone thanks to the same system in our dining room beside our classroom, the three girls came back with their bathrobes, towel, and necessities placed in a bowl. They went to get me from my room and dragged me out of the hallway.
Seriously. Why do they always have to drag me?
We arrived at a wooden sliding door and they opened it.
There were racks and drawers where we can put our things. They didn't even wait for me since they went straight inside after putting their things down on the floor and after that, I tied my hair into a bun.
In the end, I fixed them neatly and went inside where they are currently enjoying the hot spring. The hot spring was surrounded by rocks and there were even artificial trees around and the ceiling looked like the sky outside even though we're still inside the building.
This hot spring looked and felt like an outdoor hot spring. They all have their eyes closed while leaning on the edge of the spring like they were in heaven so I damped myself in too.
I felt the relaxing hot water in my body and let myself enjoy and relaxed in the hot spring.
"You're still wearing that bandage?" I heard a flabbergasted question.
I nodded at Lily's question.
"Is your skin burnt? Or do you have something to hide or you—."
"Stop it, Lily." Delora butted in.
"Well, it's natural to be curious Delora," Virgo said. "It's quite exaggerated to hide yourself like that though, Violet. You can use magic if you want to hide your face or something."
"I'm not hiding my face."
"Yeah, right."
"Why are you even wearing that?" Delora asked. Look at her giving up in her curious questions as well.
"See? Even you are curious about it." Virgo said to her.
"Fine, fine." Delora gave up. "But seriously, why?"
I sat straight at looked at them even though I know they can't see my eyes. "Do you have secrets?" I asked.
Delora sighed. "And if we said yes, you will say that the reason for that bandage is a secret that shouldn't be told?"
I stopped for a while. "You got it right." I said. She's sharp or maybe my point was too obvious before I could even point it out.
"Can you even feel with that thing wrapped around you?" Virgo went closer to me and stopped by my side. Staring closely at my bandages.
"Yes, I can." I lifted my hand from the water and stared at it. "It actually feels like nothing to me. It's like the bandage is invisible and I can feel everything like there's nothing that hides my skin."
"So, it does not have any resistance to anything?" Lily asked.
"..." If I will exclude the real reason for wearing this then, "...Yes."
At midnight, I can't seem to fall asleep. I don't even feel tired so I just went out of my bed. I went to the reception area and sat down on a sofa near the glass wall. The dark sky and the glowing moon were seen outside. The little stars still got to shine in spite of their size.
It's already one in the morning and tiredness isn't even waving to me.
"Being emotional because you got into a fight with your boyfriend?" After that question, I heard a yawn behind me. I turned to see who said that and Neodelle welcomed my sight.
Somehow, I felt my eyes sore. He's an eyesore.
He didn't pay any attention to his unkempt hair. He was wearing a tank top, a pajama with a pair of slippers. Wait. Why is he awake at this time?
Surprisingly, he sat beside me although there was a huge gap between us. "Can't sleep?" He asked while looking at
the sky outside.
I remained silent for a while. I was surprised at his actions. "I didn't know you're nice around midnight." I said and focused on the view outside. The other buildings outside have their lights off but the moon shines at every edge of the building.
"I suddenly woke up." He said. "And for some reason, I can't fall asleep again." He added and looked at me with an accusing look. "Did you curse me or something?"
"I use gravity not curses." I said. Well, I know someone who uses curses. I might entertain his idea and cast a curse on him if he doesn't mind.
He didn't give me feedback and just stayed silent so I did the same. My mind was starting to fly into a new dimension full of complicated thoughts but I flinched when I heard a thud.
I looked beside me and saw Neodelle laying on the remaining space of the sofa. Can't sleep my face. He's sleeping soundly here!
I stared at his face and noticed how harmless and gentle he looked. Well, it's just because he's sleeping at the moment. At the time that he'll wakes up, a monster will be seen.
The reception area isn't that cold nor hot so he didn't need a blanket. I looked left and right and saw no one. I also saw the large clock and it was already near two in the morning.
I stood up and spared Neodelle a last glance before returning to my room. He can help himself there.
I went back to my room and looked in the mirror. I touched my hair and saw some split ends so I grabbed a pair of scissors to cut them off. I focused on tidying myself from hair to toe and waited for the sun to rise by reading a compilation of Herlye's previous reports and analyzing them again and again.
I remained calm as always but little did I know... There was already a storm on its way in my direction.
