The Next Day
At The Selvon Café
The place was surprisingly pretty busy with people and cars going back and forth in the streets.
This cafe had recently opened and it was already almost fully packed with customers. I guess people have nothing else to do with their lives at the moment.
I just stood in front of the cafe hesitating to enter.
I felt some sort of way just being there.
I wanted to enter but something just wouldn't let me.
Is this feeling me being nervous?
It can't be.
I can't be nervous.
Am I actually nervous?
Perhaps I'm overreacting.
I never get nervous.
And is it bad to be nervous?
I took a deep breath and began to slowly calm down.
I said aloud trying to encourage myself,"Just walk in Cecelia. It'll be just fine. Don't be scared or nervous Cecelia. It's not like he's scary or anything. He's actually kind of cute."
I took a deep breath before taking a few steps forward.
Almost at the door ,reaching for the door knob ,I immediately changed my mind and turned around to see him behind me.
He just laughed before asking, "Are you gonna go in? Or would you like to stay here and give yourself another pep talk?"
Acting on my first instinct I nervously said ,"Hayden Hi. Didn't see you there."
Hayden just chuckled before replying with a simple,"Hi to you to."
I stuttered,"I-I I umm. I umm?"
Oh no. What's wrong with me? Why can't I speak all of a sudden?
Hayden asked mockingly,"What's up with the stuttering all of a sudden?"
I said trying to not seem nervous,"I'm not stuttering. I-I I have no idea what you're talking about."
Hayden said in a whisper with a warm smile ,"I think it's cute that you stutter. Especially when you're nervous around me."
I bursted out,"I'm not nervous. Especially not around you."
He then began to make his way towards the door. He then opened the door slowly before stepping aside next to the door.
He stood beside the door,leaving it wide open for me.
Hayden said gesturing for me to walk in,"Of course you're not nervous. Ladies first."
I rolled my eyes at him before walking in.
I said whispering under my breath,"Get yourself together. There's no need to be nervous."
There were only a few vacant tables as far as I could see.
After grabbing a table near a window,I could only find my attention drifting out the window occasionally.
After a few minutes of chatting with him,I felt like a heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders.
I no longer felt nervous.
I felt at ease.
I asked leaning forward with my folded arms on the table,"So?
Do you have any siblings?"
Hayden replied,"Yes,I have three siblings actually. There names are
Kaiden,Jayden and Brayden."
I said admirably,"Awwww,that's so cute that your names are similar."
Hayden said with a warm smile,"Glad you think so. Kaiden's also my twin brother."
I asked out of curiosity,"Cool,which of you is older?"
Hayden replied,"I'm the older one."
I said,"No surprise there."
He then laughed at my response.
Soon after both of our eyes met for a brief moment. Hayden quickly looked away dropping his gaze to the ground.
Immediately after,someone placed a chair beside me.
Judging by the look on Hayden's face,he wasn't too happy about the unexpected guest next to me.
He looked much like Hayden.
The curly hair,blue eyes but he had shiny almost silver white hair.
After introducing himself as Hayden's brother,Kaiden,he shot me an adorable smile before asking if he was interrupting anything.
I briefly introduced myself to him as Hayden stared at him clearly shooting daggers at him.
Hayden just stared at him annoyed more than anything.
Kaiden continued,"Well Cecelia, you're surely one beautiful girl,"as it was seen that Hayden was getting annoyed by just Kaiden's presence.
I replied smiling,"Thank you."
Hayden finally spoke and said to Kaiden,"Mind if I talk to you for a second?"
Kaiden replied without hesitation,"Sure."
Hayden and Kaiden both then got up from their seats and walkked a good distance away from the table.
Hayden's POV
I dragged my brother far enough away from the table but having it still be in my view.
I was on the verge of yelling at my dumb brother for appearing like this.
I shouted,"What are you doing here?! Did you follow me!?"
Kaiden replied,"No,why would I follow you of all people?"
Hayden asked taking a few deep breaths,"I have no idea. Maybe you just want to annoy me?"
Kaiden said crossing his arms,"That does sound like me but that's not why I came here."
Hayden asked,"Then why?"
Kaiden replied glancing over at Cecelia,"Well you see."
Back To Cecelia's POV
I just sat there,waiting for at least one of them to return.
To be honest,part of me was thinking Hayden would probably throw Kaiden out if he got the chance.
Lost in my own field of thoughts,I hadn't realized that someone had sat in the seat across from me until they introduced themselves.
Hearing that his name was Brayden reminded me of what Hayden had said about one of his brothers name being Brayden.
I decided to not bring it up as there was a chance I could be making a fool of myself by asking.
Brayden had an interesting color cross of grey and mint in his eyes and hair.
Caught off guard I replied to him hesitantly,"Hi umm. Nice to meet you. My name's Cecelia. "
The guy who introduced himself as Brayden asked,"Is this bad timing?"
I replied immediately,"Oh no,not at all. I was just lost in my thoughts."
Brayden askes giving me a warm smile and ending with a chuckle,"Do you have any idea of how lucky you are to have my two brothers fight over you?"
Hayden's POV
I said to Kaiden annoyed,"I really can't believe you right now."
Kaiden just then let out a small giggle as my eyes drifted towards Cecelia's direction to see her talking to someone. Upon seeing this,I walked towards their direction with Kaiden following closely behind. As I got closer,hearing the person's voice,I realized that it was Brayden.
I said barely under my breath,"Not him too."
I calmly approached the table and said,"Hi Brayden,nice to see you here."
Back To Cecelia's POV
Kaiden said ecstatic,"Oh yeah,it's a party."
Hayden asked Kaiden aggressively,"Did you invite him?"
Kaiden just simply shook his head 'no'
Hayden then asked Brayden,"What are you doing here!?"
Brayden then began to explain that he just wanted to see Hayden's reaction of him interrupting his date.
I just let out a chuckle after hear that and seeing Hayden's face.
He face palmed himself before an annoyed expression grew on his face.
No soon after,Hayden was mad and they all began to argue.
I just sat there patiently expecting their argument to last for at least two minutes but that wasn't the case with those three.
Ten minutes had passed and I decided to say something.
After trying to get their attention with no efforts,I simply slammed my hands on the table,grabbing the attention of everyone in the room.
I said lowering my voice,"I'm really sorry but I have to leave."
Kaiden said,"Oh,it's fine."
I quickly proceeded towards the exit as this was getting a little bit awkward.
Hayden's POV
I just sat down as my eyes trailed her walking out the door.
Can this get any worse?
Kiaden mockingly asked me,"Is someone mad she left?"
I was neither angry nor annoyed by his stupid question. I was just disappointed that she left so soon.
Kaiden said,"Oh wait. You actually look kinda sad that she left. Did I mess up that badly?"
I said folding my arms,"Just shut up."
