Roarrrr!!!"
A lion roared from somewhere in the forest. Normally, the roaring of a lion would be loud and fierce, but this one sounded different.
At the location of the roar, a small lake within the deep forest was seen. If one looked closer, they would see a youth standing next to a dead Lion body.
This youth was Talus. "Sigh...fighting a beast is hard. Should have baited it out first."
It's been a month since Talus entered the Swamp Marsh Forest. He had only reached the middle of the forest. He had not faced must distress throughout the journey, but there were moments that he now looked back at, that he could or would have changed.
For example, the dead lion, which was comparable to a warrior at the 7th level of the body transformation.
Seeing the beast, instead of fitting at full strength, Talus had decided to relax...ohh, boy, was that bad, if his body wasn't as strong as it was, he might have lost an arm or leg.
But it was a learning experience and one that was important!
The Lion, was his sixth prey since he had left, it was also the strongest prey he had faced.
Collecting all the goods from the beast and washing them, Talus went deeper into the forest.
Eventually, a few hours went by, and it was night time.
While recovering the strength in his body, Talus's eyebrows slightly furrowed. A few meters away, he noticed a group of people walking his way.
As they got closer, Talus was able to see just who they were; it was a small family. A middle-aged man, followed by a middle-aged woman, a young girl around 13, and a young boy around 7.
" Senior, please may we sit with you? Please," asked the middle aged man.
While Talus was much younger than the middle-aged man, he had a higher cultivation than the middle-aged man. Due to respect and the fact that Talus was alone in the forest, the man knew he was a mighty warrior.
Looking at the expression of the family, Talus knew the family had gone through a lot. Just their facial expression showed tiredness and fear in their eyes.
Looking at them reminded Talus of his own family, and he happily invited them.
Talus had found out that the family was part of a carven, but something had attacked them in the forest. Which also separated them from everyone else.
Finding it interesting, Talus asked them what was it that attacked them? When that question was brought up, everyone was fear-stricken; the kids had gone stiff, probably recalling the events that happened.
Talu'sSlowly changed his questions after that, gave them free meet, a few animals skins, and even told them that he'd take them out of the forest since there were close.
Eventually, the family went to sleep, while Talus sat down and started to cultivate.
The next day, Talus had helped the family leave the forest; he also gave them extra coins to set them for the future. They at first didn't accept them but eventually had to.
Than Talus had returned back to the forest and went more in-depth.
This was a Low-grade forest, where the highest-powered beasts were at the peak of the body transformation. Talus had planned to stay here for about a month to two months.
Talus continued his journey deeper into the forest. Attacking and killing creatures along the way.
Suddenly, Talus stopped and went into a crouched position; all the hair on his back stood up; he felt nervous and scared, feelings that he never felt before.
Looking around, Talus had discovered blood about 10 meters away from him. Talus looked up and saw the body of a human laying on a fallen tree.
He rushed to the body, but once he got there. His Knees almost came under him, he wanted to throw up. It was one of the gruesome and gut-wrenching scenes that Talus ever saw.
The body that Talus Saw had no bottom half, organs were leaking out, and blood was everywhere. It also wasn't the only body; there were 20 more bodies, disfigured that laid here.
Talus wanted to throw up.. Just then, he heard a voice."
"hhhaaaahhaaa, hhaaaa, hhhhaa"
Looking over at the source, Talus found an elder, laying there in a pile of blood. He quickly rushed over to the site. Seeing Talus running over, the elder's facial expression changed.
Noticing the change, Talus stopped and zoned into the elder's mouth, which was leaking blood, just a few seconds later the elder collapsed.
But, Talus didn't wait; the last words that the Elder said to Talus was to Run!
Just as he was turning around, everything went black.
