That tickles.
I scratch my nose to get the itch out, but it returns again.
I open my eyes in irritation when it doesn't go away. To my shock, I come face to face with a hand holding a feather.
The hand is attached to a buff man with a creepy smile.
Right. I forgot I was kidnapped.
"Get the fuck away from me," I yell at him and swat him away with one hand.
"Beruhigen," he yells at me. What the hell is he even saying?!
I look at him confused and try to sit up from what seems like a bunk bed. One of my hands are chained to the bar.
"Let me out," I scream at him and grab for his shirt. He tries to pull my hand off his shirt, but I yank him forward.
"Lass mich gehen du wildes Tier!" He starts wiggling, trying to get out of my grip, but I hold on tight like a leech.
The top bunk prevents me from sitting up. If I try, I might hit my head. This is so aggravating. I can't understand what this guy is saying and he doesn't want to let me out of these chains.
"HANS! HANS," he starts screaming. I jerk him forward and he hits his head on the top bunk.
"Stop screaming! Let me out and I'll let you go," I tell him, but he continues to scream.
So, I do the only thing that I can. I bang his head against the top bunk until he blacks out. Once he's out and too heavy to hold with one hand, I let him go.
Now to figure this out. There's nothing close by that can help me out of these chains. They only cuffed one of my hands to the bar of the bunk bed.
That wasn't very smart. I can tell it's a magic dampening cuff. I've seen many of them, but I don't think it works for undetectable magic. They haven't discovered it yet.
I've helped my dad lock up many witches, but none of them knew undetectable magic. It won't hurt to try.
I close my eyes and try to clear my head. I have to get out of here. If it's not for my sake, it's for Angie's sake.
I focus and place my free hand on the chains and concentrate. Just do it. I can do it.
Melt. Melt. Melt. I keep repeating the same thing in my head, focusing on one thing.
I can feel the cuff loosening around my wrist, until I can feel myself burning a little.
I pull my hand away quickly before I can melt my own skin off, and what used to be cuffs is now just a puddle of metal, melting through the bed.
I guess those lessons paid off.
I hop out of the bed, but once I stand in front of the cell doors, ready to melt it too, another guard pops up out of nowhere.
"You must be Hans," I say to him and he looks confused as he sees his buddy knocked out on the floor.
He grabs for the whistle around his neck and is about to blow it, but I stop him. I stop the air going through his windpipe with one look and he struggles for breath.
He looked at me with shock as I control him from afar.
"Could you be so kind and open this cell for me," I ask him, not really caring for his answer anyways. I lift his body off the ground and throw him into the cell door, hoping it'll break open, but it just knocks him out.
I drop his body and breathe out an exhausted sigh.
"Fine. I'll just do it myself," I tell the unconscious body. I have to get out of here quickly before they both wake up.
I lift my leg and send a powerful kick to the cell door, deciding that magic will take longer for me to do. I'm a pro when it comes to physical strength.
"Yet, you still got kidnapped. How much strength do you really possess," the voice inside my head says. I scold it and decide to ignore it.
I walk through the halls silently and cautiously. I can only see walls from where I am and it seems they were smart enough to keep prisoners far away from each other. There's no ways of forming alliances or getting help this way.
After a while, I realize I'm just walking in circles when I end up right back in front of my cell. Maybe the exit is hidden.
The ceiling isn't very high, so I lift my hands up to feel for any exit. I touch each tile on the ceiling until one of them pops open and a ladder comes down.
Interesting. Let's see where this leads to.
I climb up and when I reach the top, I see a latch. I must be underground.
I push open the latch and peek out before I climb out. I look around and see that I'm in another room. It's small and it has double doors. The doors have windows and when someone passes by, I duck. I wait a couple of seconds before lifting my head again.
"Woah." My mouth is frozen wide open as I see what's on the other side of the door.
It looks like a prison. Four floors of rows and rows of prison cells. Guards walk back and forth, guarding the cells. I can see all the prisoners with magic dampening bracelets inside their cells. They're in all different age groups. I can see children, teens, young adults, and elderly people.
I guess I was wrong. They are dumb enough to put everyone in close proximity to each other. I must've been in some kind of waiting room. All the prisoners are in uniforms. I'm still in my pajamas they kidnapped me in.
"This should be easy then. Don't screw this up," the pain in the ass voice inside my head says.
I look around for anything that can help me.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
How do you know if you're invisible or not?
That's the trouble I'm having right now. I can think and focus hard about being invisible, but will it work?
Can only find out one way.
I slowly open the door and walk into the prison. None of the guards were facing my direction.
I walk slowly towards one of the guards closest to me. He hasn't faced me yet, so I keep going. I jump in front of him, but he doesn't react.
I'm invisible!
I punch the guard in his throat and his eyes widen as he tries to nurse his neck. Before he says anything, I snap his neck. His body falls to the floor with a loud thud. I snatch the card hanging from his neck off of him.
"Leon," one of the guards yell and rushes over. All the other guards notice as well and run to help the guy. While they're all in one corner of the prison, I run to a lever that's on the wall.
There's a scanner next to it and I use the card I snatched off of the guard.
The scanner turns green and I pull down the lever, opening all the cell doors. The jail buzzes as all the cell doors open.
"Die Dämonen kommen raus," one of the guards yell as they all realize that the witches are being let free. Some of them run out of their cages right away, while others freeze, not believing that they're really free.
A riot breaks out as the two groups start to attack each other, but there are only a few guards. The witches will definitely over power them. The witches can only rely on their physical strength with the dampening bracelets and most of them seem weak from being held captive for a long time, but majority wins.
I stop my invisibility when the crowd grows and I blend in. I start stopping people and melting off their bracelets.
"Thank you," an older woman says, tears in her eyes. I give her a nod and she goes off to fight. I get mostly the same reaction from all of them, and they start helping each other.
"Where's my mommy," I hear in the crowd. I spot a little boy, walking through the crowd and looking around confused. He was screaming for his mom, but the sound mostly blended with the riot. I ran over to him and held his hand.
"I'm going to help you find your mommy, okay," I tell him in a soft tone. He nods his head. "What does she look like and what's her name," I ask him.
"Her name is Adora and she has brown eyes and hair," he tells me. I start pulling him through the crowd, searching for anyone that could possibly be his mother.
"Is your mommy short or tall?"
"Tall." I run with him to the empty stairs and start climbing, in hopes of getting a better view of the crowd. I start yelling Adora's name, hoping she'll hear me or spot her son at the top of the stairs.
"Mommy," he starts screaming as well.
"Adonis," I hear someone yell and I see a lady trying to get through the crowd to us.
"That's my mommy," the boy tells me and relief washes over his face. Adora runs to reach her son and pulls him into a tight hug.
"My baby," she starts crying. "Thank you," she tells me.
"Do you know how to get out of here," I ask her and she nods her head.
"We can all exit through the courtyard. If your looking for any of your family, you should check if they're still here on the list."
"What list," I ask her.
"The guards kept it in one of their rooms. They have a list of all the prisoners and they mark off each one they kill. You should check if your loved ones are alive before you go looking for them. It could be a waste of time," she tells me in a fast breath and points me to the room. She picks up her son and starts running off to a possible exit.
I hope they get out of here safely.
Now that she mentioned the list, I can probably see if Ben's sister and father are here. I can get them the answers they need. Maybe reunite a family.
"But it would still be a broken family. Lina's dead," the voice in my head mentions. Fuck, I forgot about Lina. A beautiful soul ripped off of earth too soon. I can't help, but feel like it's my fault.
I can still try my best to mend this family. They've helped me a lot and I'll never be able to fully repay that.
So, I rush off towards the room with the list, crossing through the traffic. I open the door and find the huge list on the wall. Damn it! There has to be millions of names on this board.
I search anyways, trying to find them, but the door opens up behind me and a guard leaps to attack me. They must've called for backup.
I move out of the way of the giant beast and kick him on his side. He goes hurdling back, but recovers quickly. He comes back at me, grabbing for my arm, but I uppercut him in the jaw and snap his neck.
He falls to the ground and I relax my stance. I'm caught off guard when a needle sticks me in the leg. I turn and see another guard behind me.
"Es ist Zeit, dich dorthin zurückzubringen, wo du hergekommen bist," he says with a smirk on his face. I feel dizzy, but I fight against it this time.
I punch him in the throat and slam him to the ground, straddling his waist. He's impressed by my strength, but snaps out of it and kicks me off of his.
It sends my mind swirling and I can feel my body wanting to shut down, but I fight it. I get back up and focus my mind on using magic instead. Maybe using physical strength drains me faster.
He grabs for his head as he can feel me taking control of it. He starts to screams in agony as his veins start to burst. His eyes start to bleed until most of it is a puddle on the floor, and his body is empty of all fluid. He collapses.
Unfortunately, my body is drained as well. I can feel myself beginning to paralyze and I fall to the ground. Before I'm knocked out, I can see two figures entering the room.
