Jeepneys' horn,kitchen wares clanking, and various voices of people were heard as Thea then again walked down in the busy alleys in the Tondo district,on her way to her school. It's already eight in the morning,enough time to take her way to her first nine in the morning class,and earlier time when she got up yesterday. Considering that Thea got a job with the help of Sara and Simon last night. Wearing her maroon uniform t shirts and a regular jeans for school,as always Thea will take a look at the busy streets and the traffic enforcers doing their jobs and others.
"Thea!"a voice called out;it was Sara waving at her when she got to school and made her way to her hall room.
Sara is sitting next in front of the piles of chairs saving a vacant seat for her. With a smile Thea walked towards her friend and sat beside her. While getting her things; notebooks and pens for her class,Thea caught in the corner of her eye that Sara is busy on something with her bag. It didnt took long when Sara finally looked at her with big smile.
"I bought food for us while I got my way here,and even asked professor's permission to eat in class."Sara exclaimed with a big smile in her face taking a bag full of meat buns and canned milk and coffee.
"Oh my god Sara,you really did all of that? You silly chubby girl."Thea slightly chuckled taking a look at the bag that made her quite hungry.
"Well of course,knowing that you've been stressed the whole day yesterday, and you being so thrifty for not eating breakfast everyday just to save."Sara rolled her eyes after saying those and jokingly hit Thea's arms.'' You're killing yourself you know that!!"
"Okay,okay Im sorry,I will eat breakfast the next days okay?"Thea chuckled and started eating one of the meat buns.
"You should be!"
Its raining,many students were just standing at the side of the hallways saving themselves from getting wet. It's already five in afternoon and the sky is already dark,it as if its already seven in the evening. Thea is just standing in the waiting shed in front of the campus gates along with Sara and the other students.
*Its already five,I need to get to the restocafe before it turns six,or I might be late at my first day of job.* With that thought,Thea brought a big plastic bag with the street vendor also standing along them in the waiting shed.
"What are you doing?"Sara asked poking Thea's shoulder with her voice almost considered as a shout since they can't hear properly due to the sound of rain hitting the room of the shed.
"Im putting my things inside the plastic for them not to get wet."Thea answered in the range of voice as Sara's.
"What?Why would you do that,we can just wait till the rain stops."
"The rain is too strong it seems like its gonna take long before it stops. I need to get to the restocafe before six."
"What about your shirt?You'll get wet,you dont have umbrella remember."
"I have my extra in my bag,I'll just change when I get there,besides its just few blocks away from it'll be just a short run."Thea said and run under the along the sidewalks while hugging her backpack preventing it from getting wet.
"Hey wait Thea you'll get sick!!"Sara screamed at her before she gets too far away.
"Then I'll rest!"Thea screamed back before she gets blurry in Sara's eyes as she got far.
After several minutes of run she finally got to the restocafe fifteen minutes before her night shift at six. While walking towards the back doors of the restocafe all wet and looking terrible,she saw Simon looking at his sitting at the small chair patiently in front of the doors,beside the smelly trash.
"Oh-Uhm-T-Thea."Simon stuttered when he stood up as soon he saw Thea approaching and giving her a shy wave and looking away from her awkwardly.
"Uhm.... I was just waiting for you here,I'll be guiding you on what work you'll be doing from now on.......and uhm... yeah th-that-that's all."Simon added looking so uncomfortable.
Thea just stared at him confused on his weird behavior. "Oh,is that so? Uhm...Uh thanks...You've been a great help just by giving me the job."Thea responded giving him a small smile.
Just by smiling,Simon went all blushed and turning his back against Thea.
"Uhm Simon?__....Oh,uhm Sir? A-are you okay? You dont look well."Thea asked him bending her whole to take a peek at Simon.
"Uh..no Im okay,You can go change your uniform before you get sick in your wet shirts."Simon said and immediately made his way back inside the restocafe.
Doing all what Simon has been instructing her,Thea quickly made her way and adjusted the environment and doing all her job well. However it seems like getting along with her co-worker Darwin is a tough job for her since he is guy and silent type person. All through out her shift, made her kinda disappointed not being able to talk to her shift partner,even though she's not comfortable enough around men. But having Stacy which she knew to be her schoolmate but in different department. Thea can easily describe Stacy so much like Sara with just her personality but completely opposite on how Sara looks.
The two easily got along as soon as Simon introduced her. Looking at the clock,Thea saw that their shift will soon be over,ten in the evening is approaching,she's been thankful that this job really is convenient for her since it pays quite big and ends only at ten,which means,just by pass eleven she can be home and have a goodnight's rest.
"Stacy I'll be keeping out the trash."Thea said and bringing all the massive trash bags alone.
"He-hey Thea are you sure you can manage?"Simon asked her while helping Darwin arranging the tables and chairs.
"No sir,I can manage."Thea gave Simon a small smile which again made Simon obviously blush.
Right after she took the trash away,before she could get back inside,she took few seconds to breath releasing all the discomfort she's been feeling the whole day. She's been keeping this since she already bothered Sara a lot to even make her worry. Her head hurts,her stomach is growling and she feels hot and her body feels so heavy.
Thea leaned on the wall,together with deep breaths,she massaged her head to calm herself down,but it didnt work. Looking straight to the opposite wall in front of her,her visions became blurry and and her head feels like spinning. Out of her control,she feels herself falling,Thea is expecting something hard to hit her,but instead she felt a strong arms wrapping her small and big figure that somehow catches her from falling to the ground. Before she could even take a look on who is this man,everything went black.
