Seeing a student had fainted, the teacher couldn't help but feel terrible. Erik, on the other hand, was just about ready to burst out laughing. The teacher quivered and simply stated "Well, uhh. Erik, was it? Help the poor boy to the nurse's office" remembering that he was a new student, he also said: "Hikari, you've been spaced out all class, as punishment you should help the new student on the way there".
Hearing her name, Hikari quickly turned towards the sound of the voice, accidentally letting out a "Hm?". The professor just glared at her in disapproval and said "Off you go" whilst gesturing to Erik, who was now holding the boy that had fainted, over his shoulder. She glanced backwards, feeling uneasy and a bad, bad feeling suddenly appeared. 'Uh oh' she couldn't help but think 'Damn it, I have to help this guy?'. However, she didn't voice her objection, she really didn't want another detention. She rose from the wooden desk and left the classroom, beckoning for Erik to follow her.
Erik, just nodded and followed. They soon reached a small room and handed the student to the nurse. The nurse actually scolded Erik for holding the boy so roughly, but after taking a look at him suddenly went quiet. He was feeling impatient and just grabbed onto Hikari's arm roughly dragging her outside.
"Ow! Jerk! Let go, that hurts!" she yelped, and upon noticing he wasn't letting go began to squirm violently, desperately trying to get rid of the firm grasp he had around her. "Shut it. Just be quiet. You're being annoying." he snapped back, holding her even tighter.
His mind ran loose, and his thoughts became distracted. He had been thinking 'She's different, she's a threat, she's an enemy' when he first grabbed and dragged her away. Now though, he was thinking 'She's stronger than she looks, though not strong enough to be an enemy. Heh, yeah, this pipsqueak, an enemy? Pffff. I can't believe myself'. However, he still held on tight. Something was wrong, this girl was definitely different. But why? Who was she really?
"You're hurting me!" she wasn't lying, he was holding her way too tight, at this rate he might break her arm. Just then, she felt a warm trickle on her arm followed by an immense amount of pain. Red liquid dripped down and the moment it hit the ground- BANG.
A golden light flashed briefly and Erik let out a cry. "Agh! What the f-" he stopped in his tracks and just stared at the girl, completely shocked. She definitely wasn't human. That light, that meant only one thing. 'Ughh' he groaned to himself, his mood was even worse now. The light came to an abrupt end, and a certain golden haired girl, hit the ground, head first.
Erik knew exactly what this meant. She wasn't human but most probably a half-human, an illegitimate child of one of the Lords of his land. Thinking of this, his eyes softened just slightly, feeling a pang of sorrow for the girl, knowing exactly how she would feel when she woke up.
He swallowed his guilt and remorse, and lifted her above his shoulders, carrying her out of school grounds and in to a lush forest, coincidentally, the forest right by her house. A green light appeared and spread into a film allowing him to enter a portal of sorts, into a world so unbelievable it didn't seem real.
