Earth Year 2025

Planet Earth-Zorack narrating:

-Get back! a man's scream echoed loudly beyond the metallic screams and hisses.

The base hangar was a mess.

There were frightened people and the most unexpected sight anyone could imagine. Two K'Aldriants were dead and fallen.

K'Aldriants were a kind of alien race with a collective conscience. No one had expected. I don't think even those creatures could assimilate the most unforeseen scenario possible. And it was time to gain an advantage, despite my anxiety and concern.

Because there, somewhere in the base, there was a creature that was unknown even to the Confederacy. It was what I would never have expected despite the hybridization process. Or maybe I should have waited. In that cocoon, Angel's metamorphosis was not complete after I interfered with the process.

-Curse! Take cover! If we are not able to regain control of the hangar now, we will have no chance. - the doctor's voice tried in vain to bring any organization among people who ran scared and shouted trying to protect themselves.

Angel ...

-Guns! - the ufologist screamed with ecstasy at the possibility of getting away from that horror.-The miserable tranquilizers.

Since the base had been taken, the survivors were kept in separate groups separated by sex and followed the scale of uninterrupted work in excavating underground tunnels.

Weapons?

I managed to avoid a group of humans fighting between punches and dots, in an attempt to escape the hangar and with an elbow I crossed the distance that kept me away from the control room.

There were no weapons that could stand up to those things. They were lethal and more. I, Zorack, who should have captured a hybrid on that planet, watched what the Federation feared most.

Her hybrid DNA was bound to bring about mutations, it could have perhaps been the emotional shock and I blamed myself naturally. It wasn't the Angel I knew. Despite her still humanoid form, she no longer saw her smooth, healthy skin.

"Damn it, Klaus!" I screamed at the height of my fury struggling to free myself from the unfortunate organic handcuffs on my wrists.

Angel!

The delicate girl who used to drive me crazy with her teasing was like any of those creatures. That was terribly strong. I also saw in awe the helicopter that was launched with all fury over two more of our approaching enemies, trying to regain control over the prisoners and it was in vain.

The metallic hisses and sounds of mechanical breaths sometimes still stand out over the deafening sound of combat. She was up against Ravenack and intended what? Trying to kill herrself?

K'Aldriants stopped dead with the defending threatened leader.

-What are you waiting for? Klaus's hand gripped my arm tightly, forcing me to look at him seriously. - It's a chance to ...

I mumbled before swearing. I was no longer a damned slave in the mines, and was no longer a host. I was a free man. There was no way I was going to chicken out and run away. I think my lover was able to see it all in the decided gleam of my eyes.

-To run away? Do you intend to escape? Come on, Klaus. There's nowhere to run! The only chance we have is to recover the base by taking advantage of these things that are vulnerable with Ravenack facing ...

I couldn't finish the sentence. Facing Angel? If any happen to her ...

-God! - Klaus gasped lividly. - All this because of a human? She's not human, is she? That girl was the hybrid that ...

I returned to curse in the best vocabulary of the mines of my captivity. Handcuffs? How was I going to get rid of those unfortunate handcuffs?

And it was then that something very fast passed me without my eyes being able to assimilate what it was, I was thrown away against the wall and fell.

Little did I hear the low voice of klaus who cried out for my name. The world there, my world at that moment stopped. My raised hands struggled to protect my face and neck. One of the k'Aldriants had managed to catch me and the fangs visible just inches from my throat let me feel the fetid breath they brought. The smell of dead and stagnant stuff. Even my strength was insufficient now.

If that could reach its target with ease, it would shatter my throat. The face without defined features ... That thing had not eaten for some time and its appetite would be tremendous. Usually when they got a host they still managed to keep some features in the misshapen physiognomy.

They were huge and sharp fangs, I didn't stop long to reflect on what I was doing in the moment of despair when death beckoned me. I took advantage of their fangs to break the energy link that bound the cuffs on my wrists and the sound of an electrical discharge let me sigh with renewed energy knowing that the electrons were deactivated. I could now use my power ...

My hands inevitably started to glow as I concentrated, summoning the moisture from the air. It needed enough moisture to drain water and convert it to ice crystals.

Since K'Aldriants had arrived, I had noticed some interesting details. They were cursed creatures with fantastic ability to adapt to harsh environments and for that reason they now withstand the still intense heat of the Earth without any demonstration that they bothered.

All my connection to Angel's mind allowed me to capture anger and confusion. The transformation was by no means intentional. It was just a response from her body in danger and threat.

She had seen me next to Klaus. Had she seen how much of the intimacy of the lovers' hush there was silent?

-Zorack, we need ... shelter! These things ... - Klaus showed the face of someone worried and thought exactly as a slave.

Rebellions in N'Tirlay brought severe punishments when the rebels were captured and identified. Only he was no longer in N'Tirlay. We were now free creatures as all must be in a Universe.

-Zorack!

-Get out of here, Klaus! I shouted with concern.

Crazy. Pure insanity. I saw Klaus appear with his eyes radiating anger as he lifted a piercing metal object trying to distract that creature's attention so that I would recover.

And it all happened the way Klaus expected. The smell of blood was compulsive for them. Klaus's arm showed a large cut through which the blood poured and the creature moved away with a low, frightening growl, its red eyes shining more brightly than the sun of my system where Edrin stood.

The K'Aldriant was advancing towards Klaus without me having time to arrive earlier. I managed to get up with difficulty, forcing my body to ignore all the tiredness and pain of the seared whip marks on my skin.

And that let out a high, high-pitched hiss that could deafen anyone the moment I waved my hands and a trail of ice ran towards Klaus to protect him ...

Kalael narrating: quadrant of the solar system somewhere in the past.

Being stuck in a time loop means that nothing changes.

Everything always happens the same way. You reset and it all starts again and again.

I was once again entering that abandoned freighter accompanied by Brunzac and Zogart after trying to convince everyone about what was going on without much success. And it wasn't working. The looks of my companions showed that they finally took me like crazy.

-Let's go! Mercy. Don't you have the feeling that this has all happened before? I can swear it has all happened! Shit, I think this is the tenth time I get on that damn old, abandoned and smelly freighter.

Zogart looked at me seriously and thoughtfully.

-You finally went crazy, friend. I told you I needed a break. I can even find a female the way she likes. He's old enough to get damn horns like any self-respecting Urodelan. If I had mated properly, I wouldn't be obsessed with a human who doesn't even have meat in her bones. She wouldn't even please a carnivore. And this scum is not that demanding in damn eating habits.

-That's really true. - Brunzac fully agreed.- If that is what they eat ....

I swore angrily. I was going to start all over again and how many more. Catty's scream would soon be echoing among those runners.

And I'm going to explain exactly what has been going on since I arrived on that damn abandoned freighter. At least I would try if I wasn't getting into that miserable ship again.

You can really go crazy in these loops ...
