Josh sucked in a deep breath; his eyes flashed open. He tried scampering away as the memory of his death flooded his thoughts.
"It's okay, Josh," Courtney hummed in a soothing tone, trying to calm him down.
She reached out for him and he slapped her hand away. "Don't fucking touch me."
Courtney retracted her limb with a grown. Josh ignored the effect his words had on Courtney and hurdled in the corner. There he hugged his legs and rested his forehead on his knees.
A zap rippled across the forefront of my brain, and I rubbed my temples. This had been going on for some time. It just came out of the blue. Once it subsided, a tingling took its place before it disappeared.
"I really don't feel any different," Colin sighed, pacing the cell. "I'm at least supposed to feel powerful. Dont I?"
