Chapter 20 - The Others

Year 9987, Day 26 of the Month of the Flowers.

With difficulty sleeping, Luciel woke up on his second day still very tired, even so, he forced himself out of bed when Fred knocked on the door to let him know that breakfast was ready.

He took the three keys and left, going first to the bathroom where he did his business and washed his hands and face.

"Good thing there are no mirrors." - Luciel said, because he felt that if he saw his face, he would see the face of someone who could not sleep well.

When he came out Fred was in front of him.

"All good?" Asked the young boy.

"Yes, why do you ask?"

"Well, the tenants of rooms 21 and 23 told me that they heard screams coming from your room at night, are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just ... I had a bad night having nightmares."

"Nightmares? Anything you want to tell me? "

"No, I'm sorry if I disturbed the other guests, but ... let's just say I had a really bad time on my first night sleeping ..."

"Hm?"

"It's nothing, is breakfast already?"

"Yes, Ticos eggs, slices of the fruit of Eden and whatever you like to drink."

"Hm, what's up?" Luciel asked as the two of them went down to the first floor.

"Eden Juice, Mateso Juice, Charoly Milk and water." - said Fred.

"Well, I think I'd like to try Mateso juice."

"I get it." - said Fred.

When the two went downstairs, Fred told Luciel that he could sit anywhere he was free, and Luciel was heading to an empty table, when he saw a young man reading the Black Book, a Black Book just like his own.

"Another like me!" - Luciel thought. - 'What do I do?' - he didn't know whether to go talk or not, and in the end, the desire to greet another person on Earth as he won, so he went to the table where the young man was found.

"Hi." - Luciel said as she sat in an empty chair in front of the young man.

"Hello you are…?" - The young man was handsome, light skinned, light brown hair and dark brown eyes.

"Luciel, I am ... I come from Earth."

"You too?!" Asked the young adult. - "What a surprise, I didn't think of meeting someone from Earth as young as you here, although well, I think I remember that the Vice-Captain of the Guards mentioned a child, so you must be the child who arrived first in town. "

"So is."

"Well, nice to meet you, my name is Alec, Alec Thompson." - Alec said.

"Nice to meet you Alec, tell me, have you met others like us?"

"Yes, yesterday I appeared about three other people."

"And are they here too?"

"Yes, although they are most likely still asleep."

"Cast?"

"Well, we spent the whole night last chatting about what to do in the future."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"And what are they planning to do?"

"We were thinking of going to a city, but after reading the book and discovering that it was dangerous to leave the outskirts of the towns, we preferred to stay and get strong first."

"Oh."

"So, we've thought of joining the Adventurer's Guild."

"Wow, but aren't they afraid?"

"Of what?"

"Of having to hunt monsters, or of facing bandits or thieves."

"Well, there are still things that we do not know very well, that, although in the Black Book there is a small informative introduction about the Adventurer's Guild, we will most likely discover much more information when we join." - Alec said.

"Wow, I see you have thought very well."

"Yes, to be honest, I still haven't gotten so used to what happens. The day when everything happened, I was camping with some friends, and now, I find myself here with people I do not know, it is too much ...

"Shocking?"

"Yes."

"I know, I ... I didn't have a good night; I miss my family a lot ... this situation ..."

"Yes, it is a damn situation in which we find ourselves, we are separated from our loved ones, who knows if they are here or not, and to make matters worse, our world, the Earth, no longer exists, all we have left are the memories and knowledge that we acquire in our life on Earth. "

"..."

"But hey, look, our food was delivered to us a while ago."

"Hey?" - Luciel was surprised to realize that it was so. - "At what time?"

"Well, you had your eyes closed for a few seconds, and the young man with the green eyes and hair put down the dishes and left to let us talk."

"I see."

"Well, how about we have breakfast."

"Yes."

After breakfast, the others who came to town together with Alec came down, and chatted a bit with Luciel, just like him, they still did not get used to the situation, and they kept trying to understand the situation they were in.

At dusk, the four of them left for the Adventurer's Guild, while Luciel remained in his room reading the Black Book.

And for the second night in a row, Luciel had nightmares.
