After talking for a little longer, with my mom poking fun at my innocence until she was satisfied, she finally got tired and suggested that I go to sleep too. We separated and when I entered my room I saw Serco waiting on my bed, arms folded and staring at the floor. Before I would have been shocked but part of me was expecting him to be here and that part was relieved to be right.
"Hey," I greeted awkwardly, I wanted to say more, spark up a conversation to get him to stay longer but just seeing his face made my mind go blank, aside from a few naughty thoughts. Thanks to my gosh darn Mom! Darn it Mom!
"I heard everything." He clarified. I blushed and turned my face away from him, hoping that staring at the wall would help me form a sentence. "I am... I'm happy she agreed to it." I noticed his way of speaking has changed slightly the longer I've known him. He sounds ... normal.
"I am too," I stated, then sat beside him on the bed. I took a deep breath before saying, "I'm a little embarrassed that you heard everything... but it's not like I have anything to hide from you anyway." Serco kissed my cheek and laughed,
"Even if you tried to hide things from me, I'd see right through you." He whispered softly into my ear. I shivered and then he moved his lips onto mine. "Get everything straight with your school, I'll pick you up after class tomorrow." Then he vanished from my room so I turned and laid my face flat against my pillow until my heart stopped racing.
I had trouble sleeping but I didn't feel groggy or tired, I was oddly filled with energy the next day. My mom called the school and said I had to visit a relative for a few days and asked for me to be excused from class. They didn't ask for proof or anything so after the phone call, I was free to pack. I chose my best clothes, including the dress Nacina picked out for me for the party. I also made sure to only bring my best underwear... I don't think he'll see it but I'd hate to disappoint him with the ugly or mismatched ones I own... you know... if he does see. As I was reading over my checklist there was a knock at my door, I practically jumped down the stairs thinking it was Serco, so when I swung the door open I couldn't hide my disappointment that it was only Tiren at the door,
"Hey, I'm here to pick you up." He stated. I didn't trust him... Serco said he was bad news
"No, you're not... Serco would never send you to get me alone." He had been staring at me smiling and only managed to maintain the smile for a few more seconds before it was replaced with a deep frown.
"I'm being serious." He reached towards my wrist, I jerked away but then he used his blinding speed to grab me regardless and jerk me towards him, "Just come with me, now."
"No, Let me go!" I screamed, trying to pull away, even struggling with all my might didn't cause him to shift an inch. It felt like I was being held down by a steel beam.
"Listen... I just want to talk but if you don't calm down I will hurt you, too." He whispered I knew he wasn't lying
"Serco will kill you if you hurt me! There's no way he'd let it go!" I stated, I spoke with confidence so he sighed.
"Just talk to me for 5 freaking minutes you stupid b****." It didn't take long for him to break character. He didn't allow me time to reply, he instead pushed me inside then he teleported us to an unknown location. My wrist was dislocated from our struggle and I crawled away. "Now that we are alone... I want you to tell my brother that you love this Godforsaken rock, that you can never leave, and that you'll only be with him here. He cherishes you in a way I've never seen him cherish anything... or anyone. So say you don't want to go with him. That way he'll either leave you or stay on Earth. I'll be happy regardless."
"I won't lie to him," I said and spat in his direction. He laughed then raised his hand to strike me but quickly stopped himself.
"Serco... really found a girl like you on Earth... that's unexpected. How are you so fearless? Even a regular human male would have an advantage over you, yet you remain so defiant in front of me..." He squatted down and stroked my cheek. I flinched away, then winced in pain because of my wrist. Tiren just smiled at me, this smile looked genuine, and then he used his speed to grab my wrist again and realign my bones, there was a sickening POP sound and I screamed. My screaming and panting changed his mood for the better. Tiren bit his lip and looked at me like I was a delicious piece of meat. "You're very, very interesting." As soon as he said that, everything went black and I was woken up by my alarm... Was I dreaming? I don't remember much but I think I had a nightmare... I quickly got up and hurried to pack my bags, I'm glad I wrote a checklist, I hope I don't forget anything. I can't believe I fell asleep while packing, I must have been exhausted.
When I heard the doorbell I slid down the stair rail and rushed to answer the door. However something stopped me when I touched the doorknob, my heart was racing with fear... I was only paralyzed for a few seconds before I managed to twist it and it was a relief to see Serco there.
"Hey! I'm ready." I stated excitedly, he threw his arms around me and spun me out onto the porch.
"It's a good thing you set 2 alarms." My mom interjected, "I was surprised that you still fell back asleep." She laughed a little... I don't remember dozing off but I vaguely remember talking to Mom earlier so I must have...
"I stayed up all night... couldn't sleep. I guess I passed out and didn't even notice." I explained. Thankfully, he didn't seem to care and just carried me inside and closed the door behind us.
"I plan to have her back in 3 days." He informed my mom.
"If anything happens, call me." Serco nodded his agreement as he grabbed my bag. He then held me close to him and soon we were in space. It was pure darkness, except for the stars. My heart was panicking so much that I was afraid to breathe,
"You are safe... you can breathe as long as you stay close to me... I have a barrier around you, there is plenty of oxygen in here so do not worry so much." His voice sounded doting and I felt relaxed for the first time since waking up, I wrapped my arms and legs around him for stability. I somehow ended up falling asleep on the trip and I awoke to find myself in a king-sized bed with gold satin sheets and a White lace canopy surrounding me. I turned to see Serco sitting beside me, reading a book. He closed it as soon as my eyes landed on him and smiled,
"I hope you slept well." Serco's greeting caused all the anxiety to exit my body, and then he leaned down to kiss me, which made me feel even better. After the kiss ended I replied,
"I did... thank you." I was filled with a warm fuzzy feeling. I wanted to cuddle up to him but, disturbing our moment, was a knock at the door. Serco groaned,
"Come in!" He shouted. Tiren and Smoke entered. Tiren glanced in my direction for a split second which sent a shiver down my spine for some reason.
"Now that she's up, Dad would like to see you, both of you." Smoke stated. Serco groaned again.
"Fine, I'll let her get ready... then we'll be on our way." He answered, and they nodded and left. Serco then turned to me saying, "There are clothes for you on the ottoman... I can help you change if you like."
"I'm sure I can figure it out!" I replied, flustered. He laughed but his voice soon turned serious,
"By the way... Did Tiren do anything to you?" My heart started racing with fear,
"No... I don't think so." He stared at me and knew I was telling the truth... I don't know where this newfound fear is from. "I think I saw him in a nightmare... I can't remember it but it has me shaken up." I didn't want to be hiding anything from him, so I let him know what was on my mind.
"I see..." He then stood from the bed. "I'll be back in 10 minutes... get dressed while I'm gone." After saying that he left.
