"She's dead, for goodness sake! Don't make me repeat that!" The king yelled at her.
Emerelda had tears falling from her eyes, "Can't you see? She was killed!"
Her father raised a finger, "Emerelda I am not going to ask you twice. Get out of this room."
"No!" she yelled, "Why must you always ignore me?"
"Because you don't make the slightest sense!" he yelled back, "Your mind is stuck in this fantasy world, you can't even think straight. It's a shame to even call you my daughter."
Emerelda froze. He might as well as slapped her. Her eyes stared in shock as the King glared down at her, his eyes filled with hate.
"I despise you more!" she screams.
He turned his back on her, "Take her away," he waved a hand.
Arms took her by the shoulders. She walked with whoever was behind her and out the queen's chamber. She wiped her tears raising her head high. She was a Princess, and even if she cries, she was to still be respected.
Once out the doors, she shrugged off the hands on her, "Let go of me!"
"Sorry." Floyd apologized.
She turns back and Floyd was standing right behind her, his hands still out stretch as if he was still grasping her shoulders. His blue eyes were tinted red, and his face was pale. She crossed her arms glaring at him, "I assume you don't believe me as well."
Floyd blinked. He seemed to be coming out of a trance. He ran a hand through his hair looking down, "Of course I believe you."
"You're probably only saying that out of pity."
He looked up from his lashes, "You know that's not true."
"I heard her mind. She said she shouldn't have believed them. Believe who? Someone must have given her something."
"That would make sense."
She stared at him long enough to make her yell, "You're not taking me seriously!"
He blinked again, "Emerelda, your mother just passed away. Why must you bring this up? Everyone is currently in…shock. And I'm… I'm devastated."
She glared at him, "You shouldn't even feel anything. She wasn't your real mother! Here I am, trying to explain that my mother got poisoned and all you can do is stand here repeating the same words the King had said to me." She turns on her heels and walked away.
"Emerelda, wait!" he called.
She stopped and looked back, "Don't bother, Floyd. I now know where I stand, and I certainly don't need you to remind me. I would completely stop using my gift if it brings me no good. No one treats me fair when I use it. Not you or Father."
And she didn't look back. Nor did he follow her.
