Vivian was a twelve years old boy who hated the world. Correction, he hated himself. However no one needed to know that, and no one would, especially the attitude he carried. Vivian Throne was a boy, who was lucky to be born. Sadly, he wasn't lucky in his life.
When his parents, earls in Montgomery England, found out his gift, they weren't his parents anymore. Love was fake, smiles were dry, and the gifts they gave him were silent promises, promises that if he stayed a good boy, listened to Daddy and Mummy, then he would get more presents.
That made Vivian very upset.
Not only was Vivian a smart child, he was able to tell the future with no farther training. He trained himself, and refused to be trained from a person that came from Garlin.
Ah yes, Garlin, He'd only seen a glimpse of it through dreams, or flashes that came and go from time to time. When Vivian heard of it at first, he was sure that's where his grandparents originated from. And he was almost correct.
He got more information by spying on the twins of another Earl. They were so similar and yet so different. One was all gold and another was all onyx. They were a mirror for one another's faces, which convinced everyone that they were twins. When Vivian was walking past them during a party, he couldn't help but stand behind the curtains and listened to their conversation.
"I'm sure Garlin isn't made up, it's very much real."
The onyx twin didn't look too convinced, "Are you sure you read those pages correctly?"
The gold twin rolled his eyes, "Are you insulting my reading? It said they left Garlin, our great grandparents and their friends to England." He leaned in, "The future boy's great grandparents is one of them."
His twin gasped, "Really?"
He nods, "Why do you think we are all gifted? Momma and Papa are not gifted, although we three and the rest of us are. Doesn't that ring a bell, dear brother?"
And that answered Vivian's dreams.
He ignored every question his parents asked about the future for a long time. They didn't look at him with love anymore, but with desire. They wanted him to be used for their needs. After ignoring his parent's questions, they soon got tired of him. They thought it was best to send him elsewhere, to a place where he'll 'listen.' And that's when Vivian ran away.
At first he hadn't any clue on where he was going, until he bumped with one of the twins. He liked him, he was quite, simple, and only talked when needed too. Unlike his other twin, a total opposite almost liked Vivian himself. When the twin befriended him, Vivian took the advantage and found a place to sleep right under his parent's nose.
And Vivian using his gift messed up. He knew he did something wrong, and yet he thought he was helping. He ran away and coincidently bumped into the man who tried to train him. The next thing he knew it, he had a free entry to go to Garlin.
Though, he was kidnapped.
Vivian knew he was going to be kidnapped, he knew running away would lead to large events that was caused by him, and he knew it was what he must do. It was the only way, the one step to help the world of Garlin. He also knew who'd come to save him. Two very odd people who are yet to find themselves and to forgive the hard stone within their chest. They were from two different worlds and yet they were all still the identical people. They have much to learn about the world, about their mission, and about their bond with each other.
As Vivian Gideon Throne looked up at the gold eyes he remembered fresh as day, he smiled sadly and said to the Prince of shadows, "I must leave soon."
The boy, who isn't a boy anymore, with his baby face all harden into beautiful features nods, "I know." He murmurs.
He closed his eyes, "That is why you were always my favorite person in the world of chaos."
