Penelope and Jared sat opposite each other not saying anything which made the atmosphere palpable.
Penelope knew that she had to be strong, not just for herself, but for her unborn child. She couldn't let Jared's apologies and promises sway her from her decision. She had to think about the future, and what was best for all of them.
Granting him access to her doesn't mean, she wants him back in her life.
As her baby's daddy, he will have access to check with her about the child and that will be all.
After a few moments of silence, Jared spoke up. "Megan, can I ask you something?"
Penelope looked at him warily. "What is it?"
"Do you still love me?" he asked, his eyes filled with hope and deep longing.
Penelope sighed. " Jared, the truth is sometimes love is not enough. everything we had was in the past and I don't want to dwell in my past anymore."
