After leaving the guild we went home, and for the rest of the day, we chilled.
The day after that we decided it was about time we got all of the necessary items, gear, and weapons we would need when Monster Hunting.
At these times there were plenty of shops selling just weapons, armor, potions, or all of them. It was a quite successful business path to take especially if your System was related to what you were selling, perhaps a steel enhancer or potion-making System.
In the System Training Course, we were thought not only about Systems and physical work, we were also recommended places to buy gear. Not only that since we were graduates of the STC (System Training Course) we got special passes and discounts only we had.
And so we were going to a nearby recommended shop with all of the MH necessities. The shop was called Exqatic Equipment and I luckily knew the shop's owners, because my dad was friends with him and so I was friends with him.
The owner's name was Exorth and he was a half-elf in his forty's. My dad knew him since they used to go on quests together, but while my dad still went on a quest even in his older years, Exorth decides to open up a shop, since his System - Extorted Enhancement System could be quite useful when making weapons and armor.
When he settled down he met his wife - Amyre, who was in the blacksmith industry as well with her System - Steel Endurance System they worked quite well together.
As I recalled this we had already arrived at his shop. Although before it may have been a small shop before, now it was quite a large building with they're shop logo, which was a bull with hammer horns and several weapons were displayed in front of the house.
I, Ai and Rayyan entered the shop one after another. The shop was quite spacious and filled to the brim with weapons, armor, and other travel gear.
"Oh hi, Fujin!" the man at the front bar waved hello to us, "Haven't seen you here for a while."
"Exorth!" I replied, "Good to be back here."
The man at the front bar was Exorth. He may have not been going on quests for over ten years, but it was still clear to see that he had indeed been a monster hunter; a good one too. He was quite bulky and muscular, wearing a blacksmith apron and a tan shirt and brown pants. He had a brown bushy beard and thick eyebrows. His hairline had begun receding, but where he had hair it was thick. On his face was a singular deep scare on his right eye, that had partially blinded him. The scar was of course from his Monster Hunter days and I knew he had scars like those all over his body. Still, he was happy as could be, smiling, clearly excited for an old friend to return.
I mostly visited Exorth when I was younger when he wasn't retired yet and then a few times when he had opened the shop. It truly had been a long time since I had seen him, or he had seen me.
"I hear you're Certified Monster Hunters now, eigh?" Exorth asked, "Would you be here to buy some gear?"
"That's correct," I responded, "Mind recommending us any gear for beginners?"
"Of course."
Exorth took us to the back of the store. We all explained our Systems and fighting styles and as he listened it was clear that he already knew what we needed. He gave Ai a red sorceress robe with a hood, silver plate armor, a crystal that enhanced her Systems healing powers, and a dagger for self-protection. He gave Rayyan silver armor, lightweight, but not technically light armor, with a sturdy headband like a helmet and a claymore sword. To me, Exorth gave lightweight armor that covered my shoulders, chest, and feet, a blue robe like a suit with a cape connected with golden straps and golden shoulder gear along with a short sword for defense.
We all liked the equipment he gave us and so we paid for it and left to go back home.
We got a discount and paid about 6500 Euros for the gear, but for what we got it was quite the deal.
At home, we took it off and stored it in our rooms, for now, decorately, but surely we would soon use these items.
