I took a hold of the railings which had suddenly materialized out of nowhere, I looked down to see nothing but darkness, I turned when I heard a voice call my name it sounded like Adam, I stretched my hand out into the darkness trying to track down the voice. With my hand stretched out, I knew that I looked like a blind girl trying to find her way in a busy park, but I might as well have been blind as I could see nothing.
The sound became more defined
"Stevie?"
"Stephanie?"
"STEPHANIE!!!!"
"Are you there?"
I suddenly saw light and brought my hands over my eyes, trying to block the brightness, I opened my mouth to call out for help but no sound came out, I stumbled, fell and woke up to the sound of Crystal and Adam calling my name, Adam was holding my hand and Crystal was running out shouting the doctors name, before I could say anything I slipped out of consciousness.

I woke up to a feeling of warmth and that of an arm wrapped around my waist, I turned to see Adam behind me fast asleep. I turned in his arms and buried my head in his chest, I hugged him closer to me, if that was possible and sniffed him he smelt like the woodsy sandalwood scent, I knew because Dad had been using the same fragrance for years now and trust me when I say it was expensive, I mean like just for a piece of soap who spends that much money?(oh yeah, my dad and seems like my boyfriend does too).
I leaned back to see his face and saw how tired he was, there were dark circles beneath his eyes,
'How long was I out?' I asked myself as I tilted my head up and kissed his chin, he moved a little and I saw his eyes flutter open, his blue eyes looked down on me, his beautiful blue eyes, his eyes that always reminded me of the midwinter sky.
"Hi" I said as I snuggled back into his body warmth,
"Hey" he answered "How are you feeling?" he asked as he leaned back to get a better view of my face,
"good…I think?" I answered in a muffled voice,
"How long was I out?" I asked moving back to hug him again, I didn't want to let him go, I was afraid that if I let him go I would go back to that place, I shuddered at the thought and hugged him tighter.
"Three days" he answered,
"WHHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I shouted sitting up, forget what I said up top, I think I heard him wrong.
"Who faints and stays unconscious for three days?" I asked,
"You do, babe" he answered as he also sat up putting his arms around me
How do you faint and stay unconscious for three days?, if you need lessons you can come to me, I will teach you for free, has it ever been done before? I closed my eyes and thought about the dreams, or what were they? Visions? Revelations? Or what? Was my mind playing tricks with me? This was so messed up, my mind was so messed up. This visions kept flashing through my mind and stopped when it got to the part of her. I needed to see that woman, I needed to go see my mother, I needed to see her for she may have answers to what was going on with me.
I jumped to my feet and began to stretch my hand for my coat which was hung on the chair 'Who brought that here?' I asked myself, but took it anyway, I stopped and turned to see Adam looking at me not saying anything as he stood up and walked over to me , he grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him, he kissed the top of my head and whispered
"You need to calm down babe".
I was being frantic I realized not even sitting to think about anything, I turned to Adam and asked
"If I was unconscious for three days then today is Monday right?"
"Yes" he said, I walked over to the bed and sat down,
"And my dad?"
Did he ever come to visit me? Did he even know where I was?
"Does he know where I am?" I asked looking at Adam who had come to take a seat by me on the bed,
"Yeah, he did, I called him and he came over to see you" I turned and moved to the bed to lie down. I curled up into a ball and pulled the blanket over my body, when I heard a phone ring, it was probably not mine as I had left it back at home some time ago, I turned to see Adam pick it up, decline the call, make some few calls and put it on silent mode.
He got into the bed with me and pulled me to him.
My head began to ache as visions once again flashed in my head I needed to see my mother.
She was there.
That night.
It was her.
I didn't want to believe it but I saw it myself with my own two eyes,
I saw her,
Holding me,
Blocking me,
From seeing her face,
She was always there.
SHE SAVED ME.
