Nate reached to hold her hand. He could feel the blood pulsing through her veins.
As a doctor, he could have saved her. Fear had frozen his limbs.
Luckily, he'd recalled the necessary steps. The doctor walked over to his side.
"Thank you for your help. The radio that she's a human server just arrived. All the nurses who brought her in have been detained by a special ops team that just came in. Ms. Weiss asked me to tell you she's on it."
Nathaniel nodded. He stood up. His hand held his wife's.
The doctor stretched out his hand. "Thank you. I realize her value to you could have led to deadly mistakes. Thank you for trusting me with their lives."
Nathaniel shook the doctor's hand. "You're welcome. Thank you for your help. I don't know if I would have made it if I had lost her again. I can't imagine losing them again."
