YUI's POV
I covered my ears because of their shouts.
"What is the Dark Kingdom's business with your empire? Did you do something in the past that made the dark empire target your empire?" prince Axel asked me.
"Well, it's been a few years since they declared a war against our empire," I said casually. They all looked at each other.
"What?!" they all shouted.
"They declared a war in the past, yet you act like it's a normal thing," brother Gian said.
"Well, no matter how many times they're defeated by the Firm Empire, Frogerous Empire, Lion Empire, Fiery Empire, Deadly Empire and Flame Medusa Empire… they'll still not give up until the last descendants of them die," I said.
"She has a point, no matter how many times we've defeated them, they're still not giving up until each empire falls down because of them," Liam said.
"Is that the reason why our parents will meet you next week?" prince Yuuto said.
"Maybe?" I said, then looked at Michael.
"I'm sorry, your highness, but I don't have any clue on why they are going to meet you," he said. Well, I'll ask him about that, but that's not what I wanted to say.
"Well, you answered my question, but why aren't you letting the other knights in?" I said.
"I'm sorry, your highness… I'll let them in now," he said, then went outside.
I'm also curious about one thing… why aren't they going inside this room, if I knew that they're already aware that something passed through them? What if they were also shot by the Dark Empire's subordinate? No way… they're not that weak to not even notice the needles… but what if they were shot at the same time? No, No, No… I shouldn't think of anything… stop thinking now, Yui.
"Is something wrong?" Liam said that made me jump a little. I tapped my chest gently.
"N-Nothing," I said.
"Your look meant that there's something wrong," he said.
"Well… I'm just worried for the others who are outside the door," I said.
"What about them?" he replied.
"Maybe they were also shot by the dark empire's subordinate at the same time," I said.
"Let's go outside and see for ourselves whether they're alright or not," he said. I nodded.
"We will go out for a few seconds or so, we're just going to confirm something," he told the others.
"Ohh… don't make any excuses, just tell us that you're going on a date," Jason said.
"You want me to punch you?" brother Gian, brother Yuuto, Liam, and Yuuma said in unison. I understand brother Gian and Liam to say it, but why did brother Yuuto and Yuuma say that with them?
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry," he said while smiling. I shaked my head lightly and sighed.
"Let's go," he said, then he escorted me outside the punishment room. When we went outside, I only saw Michael who was lying on the floor with a needle on his right arm.
I felt numb
"No..." I said, and almost fell on the floor.
"We have to save them," I said.
"I know, but we need to plan everything before fighting the Dark Empire," he said.
"But, they took my knights, especially Ayumi… please, we have to save them now before they end up having bruises all over their body or worse, die," I said.
"Look, I know that you're worried about them, but we shouldn't rush everything… we need to plan everything before abducting their empire… they're your knights, they won't be easily defeated by those bastards… have faith in them… maybe they'll be on their way back to you tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, believe in them, just like how they believe in you," he said while looking at me, then he smiled.
I noticed a shiny thing in the opposite direction. I saw that it was also a needle, but why are they targeting Liam?
I hugged him and turned him around, that's why the needle is now on my right shoulder. He looked shocked, but that ended when I began to fall down.
"What happened?" he said.
"It was supposed to be you, but gladly I took the needle… this needle is different from the others… it's poisonous," I said, while trying to stay awake.
"Royalties, get out of the room, now!" he shouted, and at a speed of light, they're all outside the room.
"Yui!" they all said.
"What happened?" they asked.
"Those f*cking bastards planned to kill me with a poison, but this reckless girl took it instead," he said.
"Yui?! Why did you do that? Liam can withstand poisons!" brother Gian said.
"I-I know, but.. I-I think, n-not, this p-poison," I told them.
"We'll bring you to the hospital," he said.
"N-No… call b-brother Louis, h-he can r-remove t-this poison i-in no t-time," I said before everything went black.
LIAM's POV
After she said to call my brother, she fell asleep.
"Call, my brother… now! Also, bring Patricia and Michael," I said,
"What happened here?" someone said, we looked at that person and we saw Ayumi and Rui.
"Ayumi? You're still here?" I asked.
"Why? Should I be somewhere now?" she asked.
"What happened to her highness? She looked pale," Rui said, I think? I'm not sure about his name.
"She took the poison that was supposed to be for me," I said.
"What happened here?" someone shouted. I looked at his direction and saw my brother.
"She took the poison that was supposed to be mine," I repeated.
"But, she has poison resistance, just like yours," he said.
"Is that the reasons' why she told me that it was different from the others?" I asked.
"Let's go to her empire, maybe there's something that can help me remove the poison," he said. I carried her, until we got to my brother's car. I gently put her inside, then I sit on the passenger seat.
My brother started to drive the car.
*A few minutes later*
We arrived at her empire. My brother and the others parked their cars, then we went out of the car to bring Yui to their infirmary. I put her in one of the beds inside, then leave them. I went outside to let my brother focus on her.
"Where's Michael and Patricia?"
"They're both inside a secured room, your majesty," Rui said.
"Where did the two of you go while the others are being kidnapped?" I asked them.
"We just bought our food since it was past break time," Ayumi said.
"Ayumi and Rui, gather everyone, also call our assassins… I want for them to do something," brother Louis said who is now outside the infirmary and emitting a dark aura.
"Oki," Ayumi said, while Rui nodded, then they left us.
"How is she?" I ask.
"Don't worry, the potion she made is working… I think she knew that this would happen because there's already a potion for that poison," he said.
"Or maybe… she's the one who made that person, but someone stole it," brother Yuuto said.
"Let's wait for her to wake up, while I'll report what happened to mom and dad," He said, then picked up his phone.
"Brother… there's no signal inside their empire," I told him.
"Oh… you're right… why do they need to cut off the signals here anyway?" he said, then sighed.
"I guess I don't have a choice but to write a letter," he said.
"You're going to write it yourself? I know that you hate doing that," I said.
"I don't have a choice… Michael is unconscious and I can't bother your sister Lea because she will know what happened to her," he said.
"Why don't you let her know what happened?" Jason asked.
"First of all, your sister Lea is pregnant and she will labour this month, and second, one of the rules in this empire is not to inform any royalties, nor knights who are sick or pregnant on what is happening inside the empire that deals with our lives," he said.
"What kind of rule is that? Isn't it a knight's job to protect the empire and the royalties? Also, the royalties of the empire should know what happened because they're the heads of this empire," Axel said.
"We know, but the health of each citizen living in this empire is her top priority, whether you're a knight, a royalty, a butler, or a maid," brother Louis said.
"But I'm still curious about one thing," I said.
"What is it?" they ask except for my brother.
"It seems like she knew that this would happen… no matter how many times you think about it, she's so calm to the point of being fearless of death," I said.
