"Uh, I will take this call, Liam," Liam stopped and waited. Rena moved back and picked up the mobile phone. She slides the green option of picking up the call.
"Hello?" Rena answered first, before the person on the other side of the call.
[ Hello, Ms. Smith? ]
"Yes speaking, ma'am," Rena replied to the call.
[ Please come to the city hospital right now, your pet dog Brook is in danger. Please do come quick ]
The call hung off.
Rena's eyes were coming out of her eye socket. Her grip from the mobile started to loosen up, not to mention her mouth was also dropping open. The chock of what just the person on call said put Rena in a hard state of shock.
"Rena/ who was it? What were they speaking about?" Of course, as the mobile was not on speaker Liam was not able to hear the conversation. But he was sure something is not right. The blank, dark expression of Rena was explaining everything to Liam.
