As the trio drove through the town, Josue noticed the eerie silence in the car. Of course he knew about the couple but something from the moment he entered Sean's office made the atmosphere completely uncomfortable. He was used to his boss being silent, but this woman seemed to make the cold atmosphere normally around Sean even colder. As they finally arrived, Sean had hopped out as the car was still rolling to a stop, agile in his movements, and was already on the other side of the car by the time it had stopped. Both Sara and Josue were shocked at his maneuver as he opened the door for Sara. Inwardly smiling at his actions Sara still kept her cold face exiting the car. As the trio entered the site they were greeted by a few of the managers. As Sara looked around with the group she kept thinking about that file until a worker came up and began whispering with one of the managers.
Sean seemed to be trying to listen as he walked over to the man. "What's happening?" The manager immediately froze hearing Sean's cold voice. However he knew that he was the name on the bottom of the check, so he immediately responded, "Sir, some gangsters come and extort money from the workers and failure to pay them results in them hurting the workers or destroying part of the work. This is why we are a month and half behind." Sara heard the explanation then looked at Sean whose eyes had turned almost black. She could see the fury in his eyes and notice him making a hand gesture. In seconds men came out of nowhere and began to surround the group, scaring them immediately. However Sean's voice rang out, "Protect my wife with your life." before he turned around walking through a gap, that the men immediately closed behind him. Sara immediately ran to the gap but the men were quicker and stopped her from proceeding. Sara called out to Sean, as she could see his back walking away. Her yelling caused him to freeze and visible sigh before calling his men to let her through. Sara quickly walked up to him before saying, "Lets go." Her eyes turning icy blue as she passed him. Immediately he caught her arm, "NO!"
"How dare you say no to me!" Sara yelled back at him. "You may be this big bad scary person but as Swan is my subsidiary this is also my problem, or did SOMEONE forget that they aren't the Chairman anymore?" Sean shook his head as he pulled her to him in a tight hug. He held her for a moment before softly whispering in her ear, "Honey, this is a side of me you should never see. I am not going to allow you to watch what I will do to them." Sara snorted, "Mighty big talk there pilgrim. Maybe I'm interested in just how talented the King of the Underworld is, and I won't believe anything unless I see it. Also as your WIFE I am the first person that should know of this side of you." Sean turned her around and looked in her blue eyes captivated, "Are you sure?" Sara immediately nodded before walking in the direction that Sean was previously headed in. Sean chuckled shaking his head before quickly catching up with her.
The two quickly came up to the scene of the commotion of a group of people throwing barrels and pushing workers. The security guards that were hired had already been knocked out. Sean held Sara back before giving her a look that Sara immediately understood. Finding a safe spot where she could watch the scene, Sean walked up to the group causing the gangsters to freeze for a second before they left to workers to gang up on him. The group walked up to him with one of them immediately saying, "You'll pay up first. That nice watch will do fine. Tommy get that mans watch for me." One of the men walked up to Sean but the moment his hand touched Sean, he reacted. With one quick movement Sean had grab the hand that touched him twisting it and dropping the mean with a punch still holding the hand. After the movement, Sean glared at the group of men, "Anyone else want to disturb my workers." The voice sent shivers down the gangster's spines but they realized the outnumbered the man. Another two men immediately rushed forward. Sean quickly snapped the wrist of Tommy before ducking under one of the gangster's punch and throwing his left hand and landing it on the other's jaw. Everyone was stunned by the speed Sean displayed. It wasn't inhuman just no one expected it coming from the man who owned the company. Before they could even gasp in response, Sean had already kicked the other man down. Sara gasped watching Sean's movements. So fluid, like a calm creek flowing, yet powerful to knock the men down with a single hit. This time Sean took the initiative to move first, Rushing the group of gangsters and quickly knocking out four more men before anyone could react. Suddenly one of them reacted but his arm was caught as he pulled a knife, causing Sean to smile his devilish smile, "so crude" before tossing the man. In less than a minute the group of men numbering around twenty, was entirely laying on the floor holding various body parts in pain.
"Who sent you?" Sean immediately demanded, while brushing his sleeves off. One of the men who was holding his shattered knee was approached by Sean. The man screamed as Sean stepped on his knee. "WHO SENT YOU?" Sean barked again before someone responded, "I'll talk." Stepping harder on the man's knee as he stepped over the man he approached Tommy. As Sean approached he picked up the knife from the one man. Sean was so focused in his approaching interrogation he didn't notice that Sara had approached from behind looking at Tommy from over his shoulder. The man looked up to see the embodiment of what he believed good and evil should look like. First was the man, looking at him with his eyes seemingly black and that smile void of all emotion. If he was asked what a demon would look like this man filled them all. Then the woman looking over his shoulder, her smile so bright and beautiful, her dark hair flowing in the slight breeze. She looked like an angel to him. Maybe this was just the pain causing him to think this. The man was jolted to a start when Sean squatted and grabbed the hand that was attached to the broken wrist, twisting it slightly. Tommy began to sweat profusely as he held in his scream. Sean released his hand before saying, "who sent you?" The man coughed before laughing slightly as he responded, "The Carmicheals send their regards." Before swinging a hidden knife at Sean. However Sean was quicker using his knife to block the knife the man pulled and stabbed him. As the man coughed blood, Sean stood and waved to some more hidden men who immediately began to carry the gangsters out of the site.
Walking away, Sara looked at the man who hadn't said a word. When they exited the site she immediately noticed that Frank and Claire were waiting on them. Sean immediately glared at the two who lowered their heads. "If you lose sight of her again you're going where I am next." The words sent a chill throughout their bodies. Turning to Sara, he softly spoke, "no more running off without them. Not now, the first volley was cast today." Sara looked at the man, before she immediately hugged him. After a few moments she let go before begrudgingly going with the two people. As Sean looked at the car driving away, he turned to the woman who had appeared behind him. Without even glancing at her he ordered, "Prepare transport to the Wilderness. Also inform them of my impending arrival."
