The next morning Sara arrived to Sean's house early. When she walked into the house, she smelled the wonderful scent coming from the kitchen. When she entered the kitchen she saw Seam standing there with his sleeves rolled up standing in front of the stove. Sean seemed to sense her presence when he asked her to check the oven. He smiled at her when the same lady from the other day walked in with a bunch of papers in her hand. She quickly set them down and fled the kitchen. Sara was shocked at how could someone flee from a smile like that. "So what is all of this." Pointing at the stacks of newspapers. "Sean played the food he was cooking while responding "financial papers from around the world. It's a global economy and most companies I work with have assets overseas. So I have to be on top of current markets across the globe." Sara picked one up that she didn't understand, " what's this one say?" Sean chuckled, "What's next for Dearborn Industries?" He then shuffled through the stack. "It seems most are wondering what direction the company will go with Sebastian at the head." Sean then froze on a paper before picking up his phone and immediately calling someone. Sara couldn't understand the conversation, so she just grabbed the plates and took them to the table. When sean came to the table they began talking about business and other things.
Meanwhile in a manor in Germany…
A man walks into a study. He looks at the old man sitting at the desk. "Sir, you asked for me?" The old man let out a cough before speaking, "Any reports on his whereabouts?" The man shook his head knowing he had failed his task. "No one seems to know who he is and those that do well we can't find them. All we know is his 3 generals where spotted in Bay City. A woman has been placed under his protection. Claire made a black mark deal collapsing the Humphries smuggling operation and passing it to a group called Lagarde and Berkowski is an enigma. He's only been seen once and that was when the deal was made." The old man coughed before standing up. "How can one person stay so hidden? He is the last person to see my daughter and now there's no news of his existence."
The man shook his head "sir it's been almost a decade, we can't even find out who was hiding her when she was alive." The old man walked put of the study with he man following him. "This woman he's protecting, what's her story." The man sighed before responding, "Sarah Morgan. Heir to Morgan Jewelries, new CEO of Hughes Investments. There is no importance to her. She seems like another random person he's thrown Frank Martin on to hide his real identity." The old man paused before he continued walking. No one knew what he was thinking before he spoke, "all of this happens with 3 of the 4 generals in one city and the Dearborn CEO steps down right before they show up. Something seems like he's targeting Dearborn. Let's keep an eye on the progression and report back to me. It may be near a decade but as long as The Black Wolf is alive, he's the only link to her I have left." The old man walked away as the younger man simple said "yes sir."
Back in Bay City…
The days seemed to fly by for Sara. The news of Dearborn's CEO stepping down slowly faded and the morning breakfast talks turned from that to other companies. Then came the mundane office work and meetings. It was quickly approaching the end of September and the end of Sean's stay in the company. The more time she spent with the man the more she was getting sad seeing his days tick down. Then one day as she entered the office she noticed that the meeting room that he had used as an office was completely empty of boxes and files and looked like a normal meeting room.
Sara froze looking at the office before she turned around and headed back downstairs. She immediately instructed Frank, who was about to head into the drivers lounge, that they were leaving. "Where to ma'am?" Sara quickly entered the car, "to Arlington Hills and step on it." As Frank raced across the city Sara fidgeted looking out hoping there wasn't an accident. She had to ask him to stay. It didn't matter if it made her look weak, he was the only person to be by her side through everything that happened recently. She couldn't let that go that easily could she. When the car arrived at Sean's mansion, Sara quickly dismounted and used the key he had given her to open the door. As she walked in a sight that she wasn't expecting had made her freeze. White sheets covering all of the furniture. She quickly went up to the normal breakfast patio and saw that the table had been pushed under the awning and all the chairs lining the wall. 'He gone just like that. No goodbye or anything. The only person to bring a smile to my face these days is gone.' She mumbled to herself as she walked back through the house before collapsing on the sheet covered couch in the living room. Then the tears started to flow. She didn't even realize how attached to the man that always seemed cold to the outside world, and now her only rock left in her life had left her.
A private plane landed at a small German runway and the first person off of it was a man wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and red sneakers. Sean looked out over the runway as mid afternoon was falling. He didn't know what was happening in his mansion at the time but he knew that he couldn't stop thinking of that woman he left behind in Bay City during the entire flight. However he was having to many problems rise up from the European Underground. He needed to remind these people who was the boss and ran the Underground. "Release a statement that The Black Wolf is back in Europe. The Carmichael family will approach you about me. You must not let them know anything. I have many spies in their network, I will know if you betray me before an hour passes." Sean coldly said to the woman wearing a black business suit behind him. Just then a man walked up wearing all black and bowed slightly to Sean. "Let's go. The Seethers are our first target. They seem to not want to listen. Let's remind everyone why I run the underworld." Sean coldly instructed the man as he walked past him into a waiting Rolls Royce.
