? POV
"Oi, you there!"
I looked up, raising an eyebrow at one of the familiar drug sellers I'd seen in the few weeks I've been here.
"Something you need?"
He smirked at me, tilting my head up at him.
"You."
I elbowed him in the crotch, causing him to yelp and double over in pain.
"Kindly go **** someone else," I growled.
With that, I stormed down the street, rubbing my eyes tiredly. 'I never knew that living on the streets of America is almost the same as living on the streets of Japan,' I thought bitterly. 'Though... he... always wanted to come here...' I shook my head to clear it of sentiment. I hated sentiment. Besides, it's not like I have anything to be sentimental about any ways. My life has always been crappy
"Hey kid. Hand over that little phone of yours and watch."
I looked up to see a guy with turquoise hair and purple eyes surrounded by three other men. 'Hm, it's the dork from yesterday. He does seem to always get himself into sticky situations,' I thought with a roll of my eyes. Oh well, his problem and not mine.
"Sorry fellas but the items aren't up for sale!" He chirped.
I was about to walk the other way when I noticed one of them pulling out a gun and my eyes narrowed. 'Seriously?' I stopped, leaning against the building's wall. 'This might get interesting.'
"Whoa whoa whoa, we can talk this out guys!" Dork protested, eyes bulging out of his head at the sight of a gun.
"Give us that phone and watch and no one gets hurt."
I almost laughed at the scene it was that hilarious. I walked up to them, wondering vaguely 'Why am I helping a geek like this dude?'
"Hey, you idiots."
They all looked up at me including Dork. I walked up to them and smiled, throwing an arm around his shoulder with a repressed flinch.
"I'm sure you guys all remember me from a few days ago?"
They all just stared at me like I'd grown three heads.
"You know, I was the guy who came in and shot up half of your group. You leave this dork- err, my friend here alone or your organs will be ripped out of your body and sold on the black market," I said with a sweet smile at them.
Hey, that gang was going to try to mug me. One of them had a gun and I decided to put it to use. Their eyes went wide with pure fear.
"R-Right! So sorry mister, uh we'll be leaving!"
"Wait, what-" Dork tried to say but I kicked him.
"Yes yes yes, go fight someone else."
They began to stomp away.
"Oh yeah, boys?"
They turned back around and I lunged forward and kicked the gun out of their hand. I smirked at them, turning off the safety.
"If you ever have any intent on killing someone with a gun, turn off the safety. Might be good."
I raised it above my head, shooting two of the bullets as threats. They squealed like little girls and ran away. I clicked the safety back on and let it weight in my hand.
"Hm, not bad. Oi, you," I yelled to Dork.
He jumped, looking terrified at me. I rolled my eyes and threw the gun at him. He stumbled around to catch it, his hands shaking.
"You might want to keep that with you if you're going to go sticking your head where it really doesn't belong sweetie."
"W-What? I-"
"Take it. I'm sure your parents," I hissed out maliciously, letting venom drip off the word parents. "Would love to see their son defending himself against the horrors of the world."
I began to walk off when he grabbed my arm. I growled and ripped my arm away from his grasp as if I'd been burned.
"Don't touch me," I snarled.
"Wait, please. That accent, you wouldn't happen to be Japanese, would you?"
I blinked in disbelief at his cheerful antics. 'This guy almost got shot and he's asking about my nationality? What a dork.'
"Listen hon. Just because I saved your butt doesn't mean we're buddies, got it? Now if you have any actual important questions, please make an appointment with my secretary," I snapped sarcastically.
I spun on my heel and walked off. To my irritation, he just ran after me and got in front of me.
"Wait, aren't you that kid from yesterday? The smoker?"
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Congratulations. You remembered."
He grinned and stuck out a hand.
"Nicki Whyte."
I glared at him and he retracted his hand slowly.
"Uh, what's your name?"
Ticked off by him, I shoved him aside and stormed off. 'Who does that guy think he is? It's not like we're even friends.'
"See you around!"
"I hope I never see you," I muttered to myself.
