Ramos Elliott after receiving the mission from his father, rushed to greenwood forest with full speed without any rest, because although his father Earl Elliott accepted him but because his mother was from a lower class he never held a high position in his family, so he wanted to complete this mission as soon as possible and gain a huge benefit for his family so he can increase his influence in his family.
Because he didn't even stop to rest on the way here he was able to arrive here one day earlier than expected. After coming to Greenwood forest he met up with his stepsister and her guards, And they started investigating about Alric's whereabouts.
Ramos then took out a small beast that looks like a small pig but it is actually a low-level mutated beast called a bignose hog, Although it doesn't even have the fighting power of a high-level normal beast but is has a special ability like all other mutated beasts. It has a sense of smell 10000-time better than a human or 250 times better than a dog, many people use them if they are hunting someone and they have something that belongs to that person.
Ramos's sister quickly gave him a paper without any expression on her face, which was a love letter that Elric sent her.
After that Romos bought that letter to the bignose hog. After smelling the paper the hog looked at Ramos's sister but Ramos pinched its tail which was a signal that this is not the right target, after that the big nose hog smelled that letter again and started moving toward a certain direction which was not surprisingly the place where Gray buried Elric.
After running for about 4 km the bignose hog stopped and was sniffing a place, which from the loose soil looked like someone or something dug something out from that place. Some blooded piece of cloths was there. After seeing this Ramos said to others looks like someone's body was buried here but later some beast dug it out and dragged it away. When Ramos was about the signal the hog to continue searching for the body parts suddenly he heard a loud and painful howl of a wolf.
Hearing this Ramos said to others stay here and look around see if you guys can find some clue about Alric. After that, he ran at full speed toward the direction from where that howl came.
Gray Just killed the alpha wolf and was picking up his loots he had no clue that a series of co incidents and because he is present in the wrong place at the wrong time a powerful enemy is coming for him.
After hearing a prompt from the AI chip, Gray quickly hid behind a large tree, and then he heard something approaching.

The AI chip was showing a 3d image of a human and all his stats in front of Gray's eyes which only he can see.
After seeing this Gray was a little nervous because meeting with a peak-level senior knight in this place is not a very good sign for him. And also he just a newly advanced senior knight so he has almost no chance of winning in a fight against him. So Gray just hoped that he will not notice him. And his plan might have succeeded in other cases but in this case, the person came after hearing the wolf howl was Ramos Elliott. Who came here to find and capture Elric so he has the big nose hog with him and after smelling another person is hiding the big nose hog indicated where Gray was hiding. Although Gray musked his smell but that had little effect in front of a mutated beast. Noticing the indications Ramos suddenly Said-

After seeing Gray and sensing that he is also a senior knight Ramos was first, surprise then doubtful because although senior knights go on a hunting trip but they never hunt normal beast in a green zone.
So Ramos became suspicious because according to report from his sister, that the person who helped Alric also was a senior knight, and two senior knights at the same place are very rare, especially in a remote place like greenwood jungle. Although pretty sure that Gray might be the person that helped Alric, He still smiled and said-
I am Ramos Elliott from Elliott family, you see a criminal after stealing a very important thing from our family ran to this jungle and we found his traces near this place. So I was wondering if you have seen any young man in this area.
Hearing this Gray was shocked in his heart but he still maintained an expressionless face and said I came here for a mission to kill some wolf and after following the alpha wolf, I came to this place, and haven't seen anybody. Although Gray knew that he might have already exposed but he still tried the last time by saying some truths.
But what Gray didn't take into consideration was that when he came for this mission he was a semi-junior knight but now he is a senior knight and in this continent, senior knight have pretty good positions and they will not lower themself to hunt normal beasts.
After hearing gray's answer Ramos was more sure that Gray is the person who helped Alric escape and killed few seniors knights from his family.

After hearing this Gray knew he has been discovered and he could not avoid a fight. So he ordered the AI chip to enable prediction function.
This is a function inside the AI chip which on earth helped its host win outdoor games by predicting the opponent's muscle movement, eye movement, and habits. But Gray discovered it can also help in a fight or hunt when he came to this world.

Then Gray took the initiative and attacked first without any hesitation, because Ramos is stronger and faster than him, Gray has to take all the little advantage he can get.
Seeing gray attack Ramos also shed all pretense and attacked with his sword.

Both of their swords collided with each other, with the help of the AI chip Gray can see a blue line coming slashing down and the next instant Ramos's sword came as predicted. Gray was barely defending himself with the help of the AI chip. but from these attacks, Gray can feel his hand going numb and he knew he can't defeat Ramos anytime soon. So Gray was planning to exhaust his opponent and he will use the newly obtained beast core to replenish his energy and escape. Like this, both of them exchange many sword moves but Gray was always managing to defend himself at the last moment, seeing this Ramos was very surprised because his strength, the sword moves and speed is better than his opponent but still he can't land a signal hit.
Like this, the fight went on for almost half an hour, suddenly-
"Beep 4 strong life from are approaching this place"
Hearing this Gray got distracted for a moment because of his inexperience, but in a fight with a stronger opponent, this is a big mistake. Next moment a sword came straight for his chest, although Gray narrowly dodged but it still left a huge wound in his arm and a large amount of blood flowed out from it.
"Host is losing a large amount of blood, Immediate treatment recommended"
Seeing this Gray abandoned the plan of the fight of attrition, and wanted to try his luck with plan B because it is already very hard for him to escape from one opponent if a few other joins then he will be dead for sure.
Thinking this Gray pretended that his injury is more serious than it actually was and swung his sword disorderly. Seeing this Ramos thought that, this is Gray's last desperate move and jumped back, and was preparing to defend until his opponent exhaust himself but suddenly he was Gray ran at full speed and disappeared behind the trees, seeing this without thinking much Ramos chased close after Gray but just after crossing the tree what he saw was not a desperately running for his life opponent but a flying arrow coming straight toward him, caught off guard and he was also running at full speed so he could not dodge in time and the arrow entered trough his eye and came out a little from the back of his head. Still, in disbelief, Ramos a peak senior knight died because of carelessness.
Gray who was holding the crossbow let out a sigh of relief. Although it might look easy but it is almost impossible to kill a senior knight with a single crossbow arrow because of their speed, at least a dozen simultaneous crossbow shots need to kill a senior knight. First, he just wanted to shot crossbow after seeing what was coming from his hiding place but after seeing that he was discovered he abandoned that plan and set out a trap for his opponent. He chose the battlefield by first attacking and then passively defending in that place after that he acted like was seriously injured and desperately escaping then the very thick tree which was between him and his opponent and lastly his extremely precise aim with the help of the AI chip.
After this just when Gray was planning to escape as soon as possible the other four people arrive here and seeing the body of Ramos, they were furious and seeing Gray who just turned around to escape, the young miss yells loudly with sorrow in her voice -
How dare you hurt my bother, my father will not let you off.
One of the guards from behind the young lady who was also a senior knight started chasing Gray after seeing him escape.
