I followed Camden out of the room, he kept his body squarely in front of mine and I could feel the tension between him and the other women in the room.
"We will have to test her sooner or later." Greta's voice was unmistakeable, and Hildr would not allow me to be afraid of these women. Test me? Let's get this done then. I walked out from behind Camden. He looked over his shoulder his eyes tracking my movement. Greta stood with two other women. They all looked at me like fresh meat and they had been starving for years.
"Women let me remind you who you stand in front of. Behave yourselves...no funny business I promise you, you will lose your future sight." They all bowed their heads to my mother and she flashed her eyes gold. Freya was biting at the bit, she didn't like having them here. Something about them put her on edge and that was enough for me to be cautious.
