Beelzebub just another one of the dukes of hell had his demon seed within him to grow forcibly by sacrificing something of equal value. This lead to him becoming the new demon lord. Not only that, over the years he grew only stronger and beat most of the demon lords in battles. This made him acquire the title of 'The Strongest Demon Lord'.
