Chapter 18.
I must be stupid enough to still be here listening to Alex, who precisely was just here to mock me.
Pretending not to be covered by aderenaline around Alex is really hard than I thought, it's killing to see his face under the sun and how perfect it looked.
Saying Alex had something that draws me to him might be a lie but what I can say is, there is a perfection around him, my clouds could cover if I didn't see his face.
Yes his really a bad soil, cause I don't want to feel anything towards him. When I try to make a choice this hard, he always shows up to change my thinking.
Still in shock with his recent words, I might loose it if he continues.
"Excuse me" I asked in the most uncommon way. I shaked my head slightly and my eyes still in confusion.
"Isabella is my best friend, Alex" I clarified. "Not a dog"
He moved back a little but his face was given no sign of concern.
"I didn't know" He said and raised his eye brows with confusion, his face expression gives away the fact that he didn't precisely care, that he just called my best friend a dog.
"Of course you didn't" I slightly said. I turned with the most annoying glare on him as my face was now on a different root from his.
"Gela" he called after me, slightly.
I turned again to his view.
"What did I expect" I said, still searching around for probably Isabella "You don't even know my real name."
I bit my lips hard as my eyes landed in his. He was thinking Isabella was my dog. At some point I was thinking it was his nature to be Alex.
It turned out to be that Alex just finds a huge pleasure in not caring about the little things around him.
As his mouths try's to open I closed it back with my comment "Can you tell me Charlotte first name, Alex?" I asked as my eyebrows where being raised by force.
He also raised his eyebrows but with shock, his face expression was unexplainable. He didn't look happy by my question as his face scrunched.
"Gela, we are not moving to that" He notified.
"Obviously you don't know" I said as I rolled my eyes.
I don't know what to get out of this question but It will verify my suspicion about Alex not caring about the people around him.
Anyway I wasn't expecting any answers from Him.
"Can I say something" he said and moved closer to me than I expected. His eyes where seriously on mine with the few steps he took closer.
"What?" I asked and watched all the movement he made, I tried not to get weak around him as his eyes where seriously marking a spot on my body.
He leans down with his neck to my height as I swallowed hard.
"It's Cruz" he said and gave me a knowing smirk.
My eyes where in a brief shock as I looked into his eyes then he winked while the smirk where still displayed on his face.
My heart skipped a bit.
"Cruz is a nice name, don't you think so Gela" he said and stood upright.
I was left unconscious, I didn't expect an answer especially if he said it right. I might not know her name but I could tell he knew it.
Alex is really complicated. I was about to confirm my suspicion till he changed my thinking.
"Gela, you shouldn't be shocked" he said, while still looking at me but the smirk was wiped away from his face as he added "It took me a year to store Cruz but it might take me two years to store yours" he laughed slightly.
I narrowed to his statement.
His laugh made me view something new, he is practically teasing me.
Asshole!
"You can first of all store Angela before moving forward to Sud, Jerk" I mumbled and with that I walked out of his view.
I didn't care if he heard my recent statement or not, I just needed to find myself out.
The sun was really hot and with a minute with Alex I almost forgot my recent problem.
Where could Isa be?
I tried calling her severally but still no answer. I decided to head to the hostel maybe I could meet her there or somebody who knows her where about.
Is seriously strange that she left the park without me or she got kidnapped. Maybe am over thinking this but she has to turn up.

Arriving at the the hostel in front of Isabella's room and seeing random people walk pass the corridor, I contemplate to knock or not.
I really wanted to find Isa here but if I don't, I don't know what to do next.
"Hi Angela" Mia snapped as I knocked on the door the last time, then she finally opens.
"Mia?" I was shocked she came to open up, she normally don't get the door that's what Isa do.
"You woke up at the wrong side of the bed?" she asked and raked her eyes up and down at me.
I looked at her eyes then slowly brought it down to my self. It was the same outfit from yesterday night.
This is probably going to be long day.
"I mean, you could use the shower here or something" she offered as I nodded a 'no'
"Have you seen Isabella" I snapped her out from her offer as I asked.
She scratches her head slightly, then gazed around for a while and brought it back to me.
"I don't know" she begins
"You don't know what" I asked more curious to know what she don't know.
"Well, you guys are strangely friends" she stated and tried to move in without giving me any answer.
I tried holding the door so she couldn't close it.
"Can you explain?" I asked.
"She ran off looking for you last night, now your here looking for her. I have a strong headache can you leave now" she said and closed the door on me.
What!
It might be quite possible that Mia is telling the truth, Isabella told me about her conversation with Mia. Where could Isa be now.
This is getting more complicated than it seems.
I heard a buzz on my phone, I brought it out with a huge rush.
I wonder if it would be Isabella.
To my surprise it was Mrs Kourtney, she sent a text message.
Mrs Kourtney: Meet me in the office in six minute!

It was really hot in my system after arriving at the office, with my same outfit from yesterday.
For Mrs Kourtney to send me a text message telling me I should be in the office within six minutes, I should probably be there before six minutes in exact.
Limping gently in the building.
I made sure to be on a low key. I might have some really bad smell that's when I decided to head up really fast to the restroom.
My legs where hurting badly.
I didn't know exactly why but I am pretty sure is because of the stress I had going on.
Still struggling with my legs as I mistakenly bump into someone.
I did some quick checking on my self, if any of my properties had fallen but known. I brought my gaze down and found out mine did not fall but the person I had mistakenly bump into has his whole belongings on the floor.
I reached for it as his hand reached for his things first.
"I- am really sorry" I apologise.
"You should be, I might start thinking your a pickpocket" he stated and immediately walk out.
What just happened.
How rude of him.
I rolled my eyes and lost any bones I had to walk down to the restroom.
I sluggishly reached the office.
Just opening it. My heart skipped deeply as I saw Carson.
Walking close enough for my presence to be known.
She turned to my directions as all my eyes where focused on her.
Her eyebrows where being raised as my presence was been noticed.
"Sud, you came?" She said but it came out more like a question.
I now raised my eyebrows.
What did she expect.
"It's very obvious, you like my desk" i replied to her comment and shifted my brows to where she was sitted.
She also shifted her brows too
"What can I say, we are partners" she exclaimed then grabbed the table and sluggishly stood up.
"Am not your partner" I clarified.
"Yeah that's true, in a few hours you will be out" she stated bluntly.
I paused then observed her a little.
What did she mean, a few minutes I will be out.
Looking at her, she felt so convinced I will be out.
Wait! Did she mean I would be fired, I swallowed hard as I bit my lips a little.
"Where is Mrs Kourtney?" I asked.
She sat down back on my chair and didn't give me any answer, I was really stupid enough to ask.
It's clear she doesn't like me but why.
Something is odd about her, she definitely is my competition but doesn't mean I have to hate the other.
"Both of you, its a pleasure" Mrs Kourtney's voice Ecoed in the room.
My gaze was raised to her, she was coming out from her main office.
She wore a genuine smile on her face then it brought out one in mine.
"Am glad, your both here" she walked closer enough to us. "I wanted to have a conversation with you both" she added.
"Right now?" Carson asked with the most genuine but fake voice.
That wasn't the voice she used earlier.
"You have Somewhere to be Miss Dominic Carson" Mrs Kourtney asked.
I swallowed hard again.
What is so important, she called us both.
"No, Mrs" Carson replied.
"Call me Kourtney" Mrs Kourtney exclaimed "I guess Kourtney would be better" she added.
Calling her Kourtney might be hard as it seems, but I can adapt to it.
"Okay, Kourtney" Carson said and smiled wierdly.
I just nodded in agreement.
"Great! If you don't mind you can both meet me in my office" she said.
She walked off.
I removed my gaze from Mrs Kourtney___ I mean Kourtney to Carson and she was staring at me.
Why am I not surprised.
"Meet us in the office Sud" she said and followed Kourtney's footstep's.
I rolled my eyes. Knowing I wouldn't want an argument I Followed suit.

"I have chosen who I want my personal assistant to be amongst the both of you." Kourtney said, bluntly.
My jaw dropped.
My pulse where not working at this point. My lower abdomen most be aching because of this news.
If I was feeling hot before now I am burning hot.
"Is about time, they get rid of you" Carson whispered to me, also bluntly.
What does she mean 'rid of me'
How convinced is she.
"Well, I know your both feeling tensed up" Kourtney said then added "You can have your sits at least"
I grimaced at Carson and how confident she looks about this news. Without a second thought she took her sit calmly.
I nervously did as Kourtney gestured.
"To my greatest surprise, I won't be telling both of you the heads up now" Kourtney said,
Out of the blue Carson snaps her hand.
"We all had an invitation to a dinner tonight with one of our client and his family" Kourtney smiles gently after her statement "He isn't just any Client, he is one of this company's investors" she added.
I nervously smiled as Carson did the same.
For some reason she is acting wierd.
"I want both of you to display your best of characters" She finally said.
"And don't forget to switch of your phones when you arrive."
With the smile still displayed on her lips she received a phone call and gestured for us to leave the room.
When we where both outside, my lungs where totally not working.
I was seriously nervous.
Carson snapped me out of it by saying "Like you heard Sud, one of our investors with his family. It is advisable you don't dress this way" She glares at me.
I didn't bother staring at my outfit but I didn't also want to answer to her statement as I received a phone call.
I removed my eyes from Carson that was glaring at me and brought it down to my phone.
I checked the dialer.
Isa!
My mouth couldn't move with shock but I ended up answering the call.
"Angie!" She started "Am so sorry I left you earlier"
"Where are you now Isa?" I asked, with a more serious voice.
"At school. Hostel" She replied.
"Am coming over" I said.
"Okay. Angie are you mad?" She asked but I could feel her voice was more nervous than the Isa I know.
Of course I am mad but I don't think I could stay a minute mad at her.
"Am on my way Isabella" I said and immediately hanged up.
I raised my gaze to Carson who was still staring at me.
"Don't forget to switch off your cell phone Sud." She said and nodded a no to my phone.
I narrowed and immediately walked out.

"Isabella Bird the first person to be inducted into the royal Geographical society. She became a household name for her writings and exploration on Korea, Morocco, China, India and Australia. I just searched for this online and you would be more Isa" James said.
"That's really cute" Isa said and gave James a light kiss on his lips.
I have to witness all this.
I arrived here few minutes and Isa had told me she got into a relationship with James this morning.
That was the main reason she was no where available.
Seeing all this makes me really happy for her, but I have to make sure James is the best of all for her.
She totally deserve the best cause she is a nice and beautiful girl.
If James is who she chooses, I have no problem with it.
"Your more cute" James said and gave her a peck on her lips.
If I didn't trust James I would have smiled but I do trust my Isa that's why a huge grin appeared on my lips.
"Angie am so sorry, you have to see all this" she said but I didn't say a word as my grin came down to be a smile.
"I will be back, I guess you two have things to talk about" James said and gave Isa a light kiss on her lips again before heading out.
"Love you" Isa said
"Love you more" James replied, he gave her a slight smile and walked out.
I swallowed hard not nervously but surprised.
"Don't you think you guys are too fast" I said.
"No, I think I found Love in him" she said while still smiling.
My eyebrows where straight at her.
"You found Love this morning in him?" I said.
My smile literally gave me away.
"You like teasing, don't you" she said and we both laughed slightly.
I like seeing her like this.
"Tell me how your day went and why your still in this outfit" She said and stood up to her dresser.
I stood up too and followed her steps just to explain how my day was.
Coming to think of it, my day is totally not explainable.
"My boss decided who she would pick today." I started. I decided to sit down a little on the couch that was beside the room.
"Tell me about it, did she pick you?" She said as she still check out something in her dresser.
"If she did, I would have said 'Hey Isa I got picked today not Carson' seriously" I said and she laughed slightly.
"If I knew who Carson was" she said.
I just rolled my eyes, I didn't want to bring her up now.
My head was really hurting badly.
"Anyway, am having a dinner tonight"I said bluntly.
She spun to my direction as her grin was wide and her tooth's where all showing.
What is she thinking.
"Do you have any outfit, for the dinner?" She asked then looked from her closet to me.
No no no
"Isa, am not"
"Shh it would be lovely" she shut me up immediately.
She came directly to me as she takes me to a really different position from my recent.
Trying some random outfits.
I didn't want this, I know I haven't decided the outfit to where tonight but Isa shouldn't have bothered.
Am totally paying later for all this.
"This is perfect" she said.
She made me close my eyes wearing this outfits, I didn't know how they looked but I trust her to always pick the best.
"This night would be a long one for you Angie" Isa comment's.
"Is totally not a date" I remark.
"Oh so what is it then" she asked as I removed my blind folds.
I could see how disappointed she was.
"Is just a dinner, with my bosses client" I specified and turned around.
Just to see a huge mirror and my reflection in it.
Then Isa's reflection came in.
"You look beautiful" She said. And smiled to me.
I didn't bother raising my gaze to hers, cause I could see her completely from the reflection.
"Angela Merkel the German Chancellor, has been the most powerful woman on earth for ten years, as per Forbes. She is renowned for fighting off the national recession during the economic crisis. You won't reach her Angela" James snaps at both me and Isa.
I removed my gaze from my reflection and raised it up to James who his jaw was already dropped.
He was staring at my outfit, and contemplating if he would say a word till he finally said.
"Where did Angela go?" He asked and either pretended to be searching around or he was really doing that.
"Can you handle your boyfriend?" I asked Isa.
"Totally" she said, and immediately walked up to him.
She whispered something to him as I faced back to my reflection in the mirror.
Tonight is going to be a long one....
