Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Decline it. Is it that hard? Dad's going to pile up work on me again so don't worry." Zen spoke as he looked at Arai who was holding the invitation. "S-Sir but-" Arai tried to argue but only got a glare from Zen. "Listen. I won't be needing to see her face and go down the hell hole again unless you want me to." He growled in anger. "I haven't fucking moved on and I don't want to be pushed back again." He said and grabbed his coat. He needed his daily dose of coffee. He wasn't trying to be rude at all and Arai knew that. This topic just always riled him up.

He got up and out of his office. "Fucking trapped in there like a prisoner. If it wasn't for Nate I would've been gone." He scoffed to himself and walked to the nearest Cafe. "Yeah, had to be this one of all the ones." He saw Nate walking to him. "Took you long enough." Nate chuckled as they went up to the counter and looked at the lady. "Two iced Americanos please." Nate ordered for them.

"Arai has been killing me. God, I need to send them a personal message saying that I can't attend. Also, you couldn't find another Cafe other than this?" Zen groaned and looked around. "Brings back such dark memo-" He saw her. Again. Why? He just turned away so that she didn't see him. "Just get it. We'll drink on the way. I feel so claustrophobic." Zen spoke and stepped out of the cafe. "What is up with this guy?" Nate chuckled to himself as he waited for his order.

Zen walkes just a little away as he took his blazer off. "Fucking world. Just had to be so small." He scoffed as he pulled his phone out, sending a quick mail that he couldn't attend. "Get the files, you'll have an interview. You've got another two shoots today." He chuckled as he read his schedule which his dad had sent. "Just kill me why don't you?" He sighed as he put his phone away and looked up at the sky.

"Sir, you can't run away. Your father has told me to keep an eye on you." Arai spoke as he rushed up behind Zen. "I'm with Nate, not with a prostitute so you'll need to chill." Zen said and looked away.

"Sir your father has set up a blind date today. You'll have to-" Arai spoke but Zen cut him off. He saw people around and put his mask on. He held Arai's hand and took him to a secluded spot. "Do I look like I'm in the fucking position for a damn date?!" He growled out and Arai shivered. He was beyond pissed. He didn't know what he could do to convince his father that he didn't want to date.

"I need someone before then. Fuck. Nate? Maybe I'll ask him to help. We've been friends for so long. It shouldn't be a problem when father asks me to kiss him, right? Damn, but I'm not gay. Screw my life." He groaned out in frustration.

"Maybe Zara. How about her?" Arai suggested. "You're giving me so many fucking reasons for me to kill you, Arai. Before I execute any one of my plans, please fucking leave." He spoke as he held his head in his hands. 'Shoot. God, they'll want a scoop again. In the interview if they ask about my relationship I think I'll flip.' All these thoughts ran through his mind as he sighed. "S-Sir-" Arai called out.

"Arai look. Nothing against you, my guy. Now just isn't the time to try and fuck with me so please leave. And tell Nate that I'm here so he doesn't assume that I'm dead." He said and Arai bowed, going into the cafe.

"H-He's outside, on the other side." Arai informed and Nate nodded. "Hey. Don't take what he says to heart. You know how he's become." Nate spoke and Arai smiled. "Of course I understand. I'll get going. I've got to take care of the scheduling of the calls. Good day." Arai bowed and left, leaving Nate sighing.

Aelise sighed in satisfaction as she sipped from the cup of coffee. This was her seventh coffee this day. And it was still eleven in the morning. She only ordered coffee here, while Emma ordered.. She can't explain how many. However, she doesn't mind. They aren't gonna spend money on this after all. Just a few moments ago, the young adult received cash and an expensive ass necklace from her aunt as a welcome gift and she gladly accepted the present, thanking her.

"You miss him, don't you?" Emma asked bluntly. The question rang in Aelise's head, her heart pounded hardly against her chest. No answer came from her mouth for she doesn't know. Her feelings were messed up for the whole five years. She felt pathetic, as she also used someone to move on- her boyfriend. Her current boyfriend, Ace.

Her relationship with him was a secret, though. He was definitely aware about the fact that Aelise was using him to move on from her past. And boy did she regret it. Ever since they started dating- no even before that, Ace was really overprotective of Aelise, at the same abusive.

He would get mad at little things she did. She even stopped modelling for a while because of him. He even forced her to do things that she doesn't want to do. Obviously, they don't love each other. But even after all that, they still haven't broke up. Not yet anyway.

She had been carrying this burden all this time just by herself, and she doesn't want to spill it to anyone. It made her miss this country even more. She just missed everyone. Even the ones who did her dirty.

"It was my fault he cheated." These six words falling from her lips were enough to tense up her best friend and glare at her. "It wasn't your fault-" Emma started but was immediately cut off. "It is. I didn't do my best at all. That's why he left me. He's not contented because i wasn't enough." She snapped, tears falling from her eyes.

Emma scoffed, and grabbed her hand, "You did your best. He just wasn't contented. You loved him a lot, didn't you? Wait, no. You still love him, after all he's done." She gently caressed the top of her hand with her thumb.

Aelise sighed, desperately wanting a change in the topic. Emma spoke once again after noticing the girl's unease. "Also, after your party tonight, we're going to that cute coin karaoke that i saw somewhere on social media." Aelise smiled in content.

Her best friend rose an eyebrow in suspicion. "No drinking alcohol, you nuthead." She shrugged her shoulders in response, a frown on her face. "Awww, come on." She whined, trying to convince her friend but it didn't work.

"Zen!" Zen heard. He looked up and saw Nate's little sister. "Hey there, little one." He smiled as he picked the little girl up. She was only four. He put his mask on as he carried her into the cafe. "Let's just stay here." Zen told Nate as he got them a table. He placed Nate's sister, Natalie, on his lap. Nate came back with their orders and also a slice of a cheesecake for Natalie. "Hmmmm. Zennie feed?" She asked. She had always been attached to both Nate and Zen.

Zen smiled as he fed her small bites slowly. "God, you guys look like a couple and she looks like your daughter." He heard and looked up to see Arai. "Only if it was that easy." Nate chuckled as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Oh where did you disappear to?" Nate asked and Zen looked over at the girl and then immediately looked away. "She's right there, Nate. I didn't want her to see me. Her entire day will probably be ruined." He scoffed. Natalie played with his hair as he fed the little girl.

"You've got a shoot in 15 minutes, Sir. A meeting right after that. You'll have to go to the client's company." Arai informed and Zen raised a brow. "And why's that?" He asked. "Because they're having some problems which they would like you to personally look over." Arai explained and Zen sighed.

"Sometimes, I just want to jump off a building. What's there to live for?" He asked Nate who shrugged. "I would've wanted to do the same if I had your life too." He chuckled. "Awww Zen. You can live for me." He heard the most whiny voice in the entire world. "Looking at you, I'd rather die this very second." Zen scoffed as he handed Natalie to her brother and looked at Zara.

"Why are you here?" He asked. "Oh. I was wondering how you were. Besides, this is a cafe, honey. I can come here whenever I want. Looks like you still haven't moved on from her." She smirked and looked over at Aelise. "So what if I haven't?" He asked and looked at her. "Oh nothing much." She smiled and walked to Aelise.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt but could you do me a favour and knock some sense into him?" She spoke as she pointed at Zen who's eyes widened. "He had this girlfriend and things happened between us and they broke up. He's still so stupid for not getting rid of his feelings. It's a waste of time, right? You should know. So, can you do me this favour?" She asked as she batted her eyelashes.

'Oh Zara, if looks could kill, you'd be buried six feet under by now.' Nate thought to himself as he saw Zen's glare.
