"It means we have entered the spring of opportunity," the Captain declared. "If it is indeed Theokoles that this man of ours slew, then we must seize hold of the opportunity."
"…But if it was Theokoles, how..?" The officer asked, going quiet before he dared to finish his question.
The Captain turned to look behind him, back towards Pash and his master who stood next to him, staring up at the sky and playing with his hair, seeming to be without a care in the world.
"It matters not. We had merely need be the oil and the cogs will spin by themselves," the Captain stated. "We will do what even the gods have struggled with. We will ensure Theokoles never rises again. We will cut his body into more than a million pieces and we will scatter them as far as the land stretches. See that lump of meat there tended to. Bring out the cooks and the butchers and see that every man with a hunger receives his fill."
