After eating, Heather decided to leave early so that all three of us can get our rest for school tomorrow.
Finally, after tomorrow we have one more day left until that hell hole closes for Christmas.
I sigh and I throw myself onto my bed and close my eyes.
------
I shut my eyes tighter as the ray of sunlight shine in through my window.
I guess I forgot to close the curtains last night.
I keep my eyes closed as I get off the bed and walk towards the bathroom.
Finally reaching the bathroom, I splash cold water on my face in attempt to wake me up.
Then I brush my teeth and shower.
Not even bothering to hurry.
I open my closet and lazily pick out my clothes for today. I decided on a white hoodie with black leggings.
"Good enough." I say as I look in the mirror.
I put my hair up in a messy bun and walk downstairs.
"Morning~" Jason says in a annoyingly high pitched voice.
"Fuck off, Jason. I'm too tired for your bullshit." I say coldly, walking straight past him and out the front door.
"Geez, is it that time of the month already?" I hear him say as he tries to catch up with me.
I roll my eyes and sit in the passengers seat, where I always sit except for when Heather's here.
Not to long after, Jason joins me and we start our journey to school.
"Hey,Jason?" I say, cutting off his speech on whether or not cereal is soup.
"I hate you." I added.
"Aww, I love you too, Soph!" he exclaimed and hugged me tightly from the side.
I sigh and decided to change the topic.
"What class do you have?"
"Math." he groaned.
I laugh and pat his shoulder.
"Don't worry, I have Math too."
His face brightens and says "Great! I can copy your answers!"
We walk into class and sit at the back.
The teacher wasn't there yet so we decided to play Tic Tac Toe.
The teacher walked in with a stack of papers in her hand.
Uh-oh.
She plops the paers on her desk and looks up at us with a smile.
"Pop quiz!" she yells, excited to see us suffer.
Jason and I looked at each other.
I'm pretty sure we're thinking the same thing:
Well shit.
------
"I am so gonna fail." I say, turning to face Jason and leaned against my locker.
"Well atleast we're failing together-" he began before his eyes watched something walking down the hall.
I followed his gaze and my heart sunk when I realized he was watching Heather.
"What a sight for sore eyes." he mutters softly.
"She's got you mesmerized." I say, looking at the floor.
I clear my throat and say,"Well,um, I gotta get to class."
I walk way quickly, not paying attention to the feeling of Jason's stare burning through the back of my head.
Opening the door to the Chemistry lab, I scanned the room for empty seats.
There was only one left.
Next to Heather.
------
But I watch your eyes
As she walks by
What a sight for sore eyes
Brighter than the blue sky
She's got you mesmerized
While I die
