I don't understand why she sits alone all the time. She's gorgeous. Although I would never tell her that unless I was given the chance. Sure, I may seem like I'm confident and I'm fearless but walking up to Lena Rogers is a completely different story. I didn't ask to be popular, I am not going to give to give up my social standing for a girl. Especially not a girl who I'm pretty sure doesn't realize could sit with us any day and be accepted. She is beautiful and smart even though she doesn't let anyone see it. I see running every morning before school. She's fast but has ever tried out for track.
"You can study with Ascot Rose. He's good with language," wakes me out of m y daydream. She's brilliant you fool. I am inadequate to help her when she should be helping me. I turn to look a her to acknowledgment, but it comes out all wrong. I have stared at her for hours and she's yet to notice. I would love to be with her.
The bell rings and I run to catch up the her. "Hey, are you free tonight? I'm available to study f you are." She stops abruptly and turns slowly in my direction. She looks like a dear in headlights.
"U-um, y-yeah. Yeah, I can do tonight. Tell me when and where." She looks terrified. I hand her a piece of paper. She takes it very gently as if she's scared of me. Oh my gosh, she's scared of me.
"Just text me and we can iron out the details." I say trying to make it a little less awkward. It doesn't work.
"Ok. I will," She smiles a little and heads to her locker.
I will break her bubble.
Even if it is the last thing I ever do.
