When she steps into school the next day, people she had once considered close were distancing themselves. The student council remained the same, but the few people she actually met in class left her alone. Kind of confusing. The only new thing? The new boy approaching her.
"You're the new elite right? The one with the phoenix?"
His hair is an enchanting shade of tangerine, lighter than Ignes, but still gorgeous. His nose is high, and his eyes are a sharp shade of black. His voice is velvety and smooth, and his eyes hold power. He's tall in structure, yet he remains mostly lean muscle.
"That's me. Did you need something?" Her voice is sharp, but there's a soft edge to it.
"You must be Crescent! The dual bender?" He grins.
"And what of it?"
"Ah! I wanted to congratulate you! It isn't easy taking someone with the opposite elements down" His smile is genuine, ethereal holy shit can I marry him-
"Ah thank you!" Crescent smiles.
'she's glowing' he thinks.
"Oh and also. Do you happen to be able to lead me to your bird? I wanted to catch up with him about a couple of things"
"Ignes?"
"Yeah."
Crescent nods slowly, and makes sure to go up first in case it wasn't his cousin. Ignes peers in curiosity, and when the new boy shows up, Ignes transforms immediately.
"Helios," Ignes, now Cyrus, nods.
"Couldn't you be at least a little more excited to see me?" Helios rolls his eyes.
"Seeing my least favorite cousin? Funny"
"You like Apollo more than me?"
"Absolutely" Cyrus snickers.
"Good to see your humor hasn't been locked up yet" Helios snickers.
"Is Apollo here?"
"Yeah. He's caused quite a bit of turmoil already," Helios laughs.
"And Ichika?"
"Ah he's probably baiting a girl in right about now" Helios laughs.
"How much are you willing to bet that Sirius is raiding the cafeteria?" Cyrus stifles his laugh.
"Uhhh. Are they all cousins?" Crescent blinks in confusion.
"Mhm. None of us are actually related since we all come from the sun, and we're all different parts of it. It's probably why you've seen purple, blue, and green haired boys around" Helios grins.
"I was convinced you all were a band or something." She mumbles. "Doesn't that mean they're stronger?"
"Close but not quite. Fire color is strength on one hand, but the cooler the fire, the harder it is to control. Though I have to admit, Ichika's really good at managing his fire"
"On top of that, since it's spirit world transfer week, I can actually roam around without being caught." Cyrus mumbles. "Though it's a pain in the ass to deal with teachers"
"How much are you willing to bet that it'll be me?" Helios smirks. "Is one person allowed more than one spirit animal?"
"How come?" Cyrus raises a brow.
"I wanna share miss dual bender"
"Do you know?" Cyrus tilts his head in curiosity at Crescent. Before she gets the chance to answer, Ice's footsteps are heard and Cyrus transforms back into his old self.
"There you are" His voice is soft, and he pulls me in for a hug. Helios is visibly confused and I stumble back.
"Ah. Helios wanted to know if a student could have more than one animal guide" I pipe up. Ice raises a brow, and smiles.
"More than one is possible. But then again, that's only if the animal thrashes against the cage." Ice hums. "Alright let's get going, your cousins are looking for you and Mint wanted to ask you something"
