Chapter 56 - Waking Him Up

Revan walked closer and closer until the corpse became easier to see. The corpse had no flesh left on it. The bones were dark and dirty and but they looked robust and sturdy. This person looked like they had a longer face than most others when they were alive. It looked similar to a human skeleton, however, a human's would look more frail and closer to white instead of a darker shade like the one in the cave.

The skeleton was chained to the inside of the cave. Their horse and chest were riddle with chains that held them against the wall tightly in a full lotus seated position. It looked to be a male's skeleton and he was quite tall as well. His wrists and ankles were connected to the chains around his chest and torso.... and these chains were tightly clinging to the wall. The chains were covered in flames, the same flames that were illuminating the rest of the cave. The flames on the cave walls looked the exact same as the flames wrapping around the chains on this man's body.

The skeleton was on an elevated platform and at the front side of it was a deep engraving. The following words were written, "The Exiled." The engraving was filled with a deep red liquid, possibly blood.

Revan: So this man is called The Exiled?

One thing about his skeleton stuck out and caught Revan's eye. This skeleton had a huge X-shaped scar across it's chest. A scar that went past flesh and muscle, a scar that engraved itself on this man's bones.

Revan was astounded. "Just what kind of power would be capable of doing this to someone. Maybe a chakra user? But then how strong of a man was, "The Exiled"... so many mysteries this world is much better than Earth. However, it's harder to get food and it also takes longer, back on Earth my mom would be home to make me something to eat whenever I was hungry, well for the most part at least."

Penelope: Revan, what are you mumbling about?

Revan: Oh nothing, nothing. I was just thinking that you were right, we've been here for a while, we should probably head back home before Tao Tai gets worried.

Penelope: Yeah, we should get going! That corpse has no eyes but it feels like it's watching me, I'm really creeped out
