Riley's POV
"Three weeks. It's been three whole weeks – where have you been?" I growl at the holographic image of Esa.
"These are very interesting people over here," he says in awe.
"I don't care how interesting they are. Have you found him yet?" I ask my braindead best friend.
"The Kuru'Pirs are not exactly excited to be spoken to," he says.
I sigh, rub my forehead. I can feel a growl build up in the back of my throat, but I bite it back.
"They…are… red-haired little boy with BACKWARDS FEET!" I roar.
"They are also renowned tricksters. Even if I go into the rainforest, I won't be able to track him," he grumbles. I know that he is frustrated with himself. He should be. I really don't need to deal with his failure on top of everything else.
"If only there was a way to get a Kuru'Pirs to come to you," I say sarcastically.
His eyes widen, "Hayi, Ry, Hayi! I can't do that! He will not work with us if I do that."
