Riley's POV
I woke up with a newfound freshness. The warmth of the sun pouring down over the entire manor only served to make it better. The breeze from the lake smelt like fresh fish and dew drops. It was the perfect day for a stroll through the grounds.
I was standing in my favourite spot on the territory and the pond looked pristine, and the animal stables smelt less like manure than I could ever recall in my two dozen years in Knysna. Even the kennels were silent this morning. Our ancestors truly blessed us today. Or perhaps they were too wise to dampen the mood of a princess wearing the freshly polished symbol of an orisha. To think we weren't even married yet and she already trusted me to bare her family crest. I felt like just singing at the thought.
