Touka sat before nine of his relatives. Three of which were furious about him misleading them, another three were bored and were languidly fiddling around.
And the last three were worried about him despite his reassurance, "Guys, I'm fine. And, what is Callum doing here?" Touka was dumbfounded the moment Callum rushed in to hug him.
It was quite annoying as he always smothered him. "Sorry, he insisted on coming with us." Jane slapped her hands together in a prayer sign, she felt bad about having Touka deal with Callum all by himself.
Today, she had braided her honey coloured hair into twin tails, her lips were shimmering as they were glossed with a cherry lipgloss.
Of course, she wore eyelash extensions as usual. Her older sister Claire however, did not need any as she had naturally long lashes, today she had curled them as she was planning on going out with her boyfriend.
It was also the same exact reason why she let her sandy hair out, as her boyfriend loved it when her naturally wavy hair bristled his skin as they caressed each other.
Of course the rest were looking smart as usual, Eichi with his combed hair, suit and glasses, Callum with his short curly blonde hair and dimpled smile.
Daichi was fit and very athletic, often flexing his muscles and checking out others on a dating app. While Chloe was looking around with disinterest, chewing gum and fiddling with her hair.
Claudia with her sun kissed tan and toned body in fitting clothes that accentuated her figure, Akihito however was more casual like his twin brothers.
Damien was an outlier amongst the triplets, unlike the minor lazy habits his brothers had, he was more of a lone wolf.
Acting out all in his own, of course one thing that the three all shared was their impressive skills in deception and observation.
For example, Akihito was quite a proactive one. Being able to emulate the actions of others just by watching how they moved their body, this allowed him to learn many sports proficiently.
And due to his kinaesthetic learning style, he was able to be at the top of his class in terms of physical education.
Touka was not far behind as he was able to remember and retain most things, he could easily comprehend and assess situations, had a knack for creating plans with a high success rate and of course was knowledgeable in many fields except physics.
It was too difficult even for him to comprehend.
Damien was even more impressive as he had a photographic memory. Although similarly he hated physics even though he knew more about it than Touka.
Everyone in the room were considered geniuses in their own rights, however compared to these three with an actual genius status certified by their IQ.
The rest were lacking slightly. But seeing their immense potential and through checking on their backgrounds, Alviss was scared witless.
He had never thought that his Host would be related to such an unusual bunch. [A child actor with a net worth totalling to millions of dollars, a CEO of a global conglomerate known worldwide, a famous artist whose pieces are coveted by many, a rich streamer who is actually well educated, and to top it off a bunch of geniuses in various fields. What kind of monsters am I seeing here?]. Touka caught his System muttering to itself.
He felt that one of those were more of an insult than a compliment, but he didn't care.
'System. Can you connect yourself to the others?' Touka called out to Alviss in his mind, who then acted and attached invisible tendrils to their necks.
"Ow." They all felt the pain, it was merely a pinprick but they knew that something was strange about it. They just couldn't put their finger on it.
[Initialising Systemwide update]
[Optimising mainframe to increase the data load]
[System Download 1%. 15%. 24%. 56%. 79%. 88%. 90%. 95%. 98%. 99%. 100%].
[System download completed. Please standby]. The nine of them all turned their heads around to find out where the voice was coming from.
But realising that they had all heard it, they looked over to Touka. "Could this be?" Eichi was the first to speak, he had noticed that the voice in his head said 'System,' giving him a vague idea on what had happened.
Of course the rest also noticed this. Seeing that they had caught on, Touka grinned and explained the situation.
"This is my System. The Nonpareil King System. The last and most powerful System in the entire multiverse. Ah, of course I had forgotten to mention that due to the lack of godly existences in other worlds, Alviss is now the only God-like entity." Touka had inquired Alviss about the other worlds before they all came in.
Turns out, magic and the like still existed but at a very minor scale and none has ever ascended to the Isles in a thousand years.
Gods were dead so to say. [That is correct. My Host has shared the System with you all. Allowing me to communicate with you, and of course this allows me to delegate missions for you and grant you rewards. But Touka here was bored and had nothing to do, so he called you guys here to make you Hosts as well]. Alviss told them if the many benefits to having a System and why Touka had shared it with them.
"So basically he was bored and he didn't want to keep it all for himself since it was selfish to do so?" Hearing this, Akihito nodded and thought that that was exactly what he would do if he was in the same situation as his brother.
'We're more alike than I thought,' was the shared thoughts of Damien and Akihito. They had just realised that Touka cared for them more than they did for him.
Despite being the youngest of the triplets, he acted like he was the oldest. "Oh, that's so sweet. You shared it with us because you thought that sharing was better than having the System all for yourself?" Claudia did not think of it much and was sincerely touched, of course she knew that he had other motives, but that did not matter.
Sara who was quiet this whole time, suddenly burst out in joy, "Ahhh!!! Does this mean that we're like, supernatural beings now?!?!"
Like her half-siblings, she too was an avid reader. Daichi turned off his phone and smiled brightly at his cousin.
He found the situation quite amusing. Chloe was also now interested, she knew that her life was going to change greatly after this.
The only one keeping their cool was Eichi, who stood still stoically. He thought long and hard about a good response.
Though his expression was cold, in his heart he wished to inquire the System about 'magic.'
After all, ever since he was a child he was always fascinated by the concept of magic and always wished for it to be real.
He always attended magic shows as a consolation, but it always left him feeling empty. He was 22 this year and it still felt childish to hold on to a silly dream.
But now that it's existence was confirmed and knowing that it wasn't a dream at all, he only wished for one thing; he wanted to know how he could learn it.
Knowing that he had nothing to lose, he spoke up, "System, I wish to ask you something." Hearing this, the others raised a brow.
They knew exactly what he was going to ask, "How- How can I learn magic?" He hesitated at first, but he was determined to be able to learn magic and achieve his dreams.
[Magic, huh? That's surprising. I never thought that the CEO and founder of the largest global conglomerate in the world would ever want to learn Magic. That's amusing]. Eichi blushed, it was quite embarrassing when it was put that way, but he persevered and kept nagging the System.
Of course, Alviss relented as he had to listen to his Hosts wishes. [Very well. First task for everyone! The reward is discovering your magical affinity and attributes as well as obtaining a Grimoire suited for you].
All ten of them were now motivated, their eyes lit up with passion. But of course, Eichi was still asking questions.
"Question; What is an attribute? What are affinities? And what is a Grimoire?" His relatives groaned, knowing that he could go on and on if the System did not give him a satisfactory answer.
[Fair questions. Attributes refers to the type of Magic you are able to use with great proficiency. You can learn other Magic, but your attribute Magic will be the easiest to learn for you as your body is suited for that particular Magic. Affinities is something everyone has, they refer to what kind of magical talents you have. Whether it is Magical Combat or even the talent for healing.
Now for Grimoires. Grimoires are basically spell books that one can learn from. However, there are certain Grimoires that allow you to write your own spells in, a commendable feat as it means that you have the requirements to become an Archmage or any magic related jobs].
This made them all even more heated up, Magic is awesome! They all thought, of course they only managed to get the gist of how the Magic System worked and did not know that there were many subsystems under the main Magic System.
But they didn't care, after all, they now had all the time in the world to learn about it.
But for now, "Show us the mission!" Eichi urged, which Alviss complied.
[Mission: Steal the collection of rare gemstones in the Véritable Artiste Museum.
Requirements: Take at least one of the gems from the collection.
Punishment: Nil
Rewards: Magic Awakening and Status Check. Grimoire. Tool].
They were all speechless, especially Touka. He had never seen this kind of mission before, 'Since when could you do these kinds of things?!' He complained in his heart, but repressed his rage.
After all, stealing a gem wasn't that hard. Was it?
