Mansion of Shoda Eiji
It was very chilly that night. Summer was approaching, but these days, ever since that morning 10 years ago, summer became less and winter gained a few more weeks. So it was understandable that it was still this cold and snowing in the middle of May.
The leaves of the tree which's branch he crouched upon, rustled as the night breeze blew past it. This was the only tree within the grounds of the house, between the building and the massive fence. This was a very luxurious mansion. The mansion of the CEO of the multi-million Yen company, Oxglar.
Not only did it have an 8 feet tall wall surrounding the compound, the grounds were also crawling with guards in black suits. The mansion itself was also very heavily tech improved. Akira had confirmed that the front and back doors were rigged with state of the art motion sensors. Honestly, not even a fly could get through without the mansion being alarmed. Should he go through the doors, even if he managed to get past the initial motion sensors, the camera's around the entrance would still pick him up, and the police would be alerted immediately.
Truly, this was a fortress. It took him an hour before he could figure out a plan to get in. He noticed the single cherry blossom tree that stood by the side of the house. Coincidentally, the tree allowed entry- not without its difficulties, into a room through a window. He only hoped that this window wasn't tricked up with motion sensors as well. None of the other bedroom windows were, but since this tree was close, he wasn't sure if they paid it special attention unlike the others.
He crawled closer to the window, constantly checking his sides to make sure he wasn't spotted yet. He reached into his coat pocket and dug out a light pen, then flashed it through the window to check if it was equipped with any special tech. Luckily, it was completely clear. This made him breath a small sigh of relief as he put the pen back in his coat and lifted the window open.
Once he was through, he pressed the window closed again, stopping the cold air that was blowing through cease. He was tempted to lower the hood of his coat, and remove the mask on his face to be more aware of his surroundings but opted out after realizing that there might be hidden camera's he wasn't aware about, just like the motion sensors around the other windows of the mansion he had no idea about.
Silently, he made a mental note to hold Lesley in more contempt in his head. He had left him to handle this task that was akin to 'trudging into the lion's den of your own volition', but he was okay with it since now, he was thankful to be handling such a task on his own, as he thought Lesley would only hold him back.
He scanned the room he was in, eyeing every corner of the area. It was dark but he had trained to be able to see even in the darkest of caves. 'It's a boy's room,' He surmised. Glancing at what he made out to be posters on the wall. The bookshelves that was by his leg only contained shounen manga. This was definitely a boy's room. And judging from the size of the bed, clothes on the couch, and sets of video games by the massive tv screen, this was a 'teenage' boy's room.
Akira stalked towards the door and gripped the knob firmly. He was taking caution to make sure there was no one in the house, though he was half certain there wouldn't be. He was mostly watching out for the guards on patrol. According to Lesley, the only people who lived in this mansion were Shoda Eiji and his third wife Shoda Sophia, a Bulgarian woman he had married mostly on a whim for her beauty. He had a son, but he was staying with his mother at the moment. He supposed that the room he was currently in belonged to the son. Eiji was currently out on a business trip and wouldn't be back until Monday, and Miss Sophia should be at a fashion event for one of her husband's business partners.
Lesley had thought this to be the perfect time for reconnaissance, and decided to tail her while Akira snuck into the mansion, and scouted out the place, as they had chose that to be where they would execute the kill order. This was Japan, they couldn't cause havoc here like they did every place else. They still had a lot to do in the country and couldn't afford to draw attention to themselves, so they had to be as stealthy as possible with whatever jobs they took on in the future.
He opened the door quietly and trudged down the hall. He gazed at the blue prints of the mansion on the screen of his device as he made his way down the passage and into what he thought was the master bedroom.
The room was wider than the living room and workspace at his apartment combined. The king sized bed stood took only less than a quarter of the room, as the rest of the space was filled with idle furniture. He wasn't sure where to start looking for the recording, nor did he see a reason too, since she would already most likely have other copies, but he decided to start his search from the cabinets by the corner of the room.
After a while of quietly searching, the moonlight that shone over his down turned eyelids caught his attention. The terrace at the other end of the room was empty, which allowed the glass sliding windows leading out to let light in more grandly. He had seen the terrace in the floor plans of the mansion, and had viewed it from outside. Moments ago, before finding away to enter the compound, he had taken pictures of this terrace and sent them to Lesley. He had picked this spot, to be idle if the time came. There was a tall building perfectly adjacent to this opening, that allowed for a sniper to shoot whoever was standing by the window, should the time come.
"Oh! Young master,"
A voice exclaimed from downstairs, greatly alarming Akira.
"You came home earlier than expected."
"Yes," The voice of an adolescent boy replied. "I decided to skip cram school today."
"Is that so, well then should I prepare your dinner now?"
"No, I'm not hungry yet. Thank you. I'll be in my room."
"Alright. Should the young master need anything. Please call and I will get it."
"Yes thank you."
As the voices got louder climbing up the stairs, Akira searched the room for a way to escape. The terrace window had motion sensors so he couldn't leave from there. He only hoped he would find another exit once the boy entered his room. But the only thing that constantly went through his mind was, 'Wasn't he supposed to be staying with his mother, Lesley?!'
