Days of fun passed with Stella and Tai-chi being basically joined at the hip. They did absolutely everything together to the point where one was never seen without the other. They went to parks, went sightseeing, cosplayed, attended festivals, rode the trains, and went on picnics together.
This was the first time in a long while that Stella had been out of her apartment so many times for reasons that weren't working or shopping.
It was definitely some of the greatest times of their lives.
Nevertheless, all good things must come to an end at some point. In a week's time, all of Tai-chi's wounds were completely healed and he was able to fly again.
However, as this happened Stella noticed him gazing out the window and thought.
"He must really miss his family and friends by now."
"Not because I do not have any connections with my family means he does too."
"I guess I shouldn't be selfish and hold him back anymore "
" I should allow him to be back to where he belongs."
In truth, Tai-chi was indeed thinking about his friends and family back home, deep in thought,
wondering if everyone was alright after what he did.
Stella then walked towards Tai-chi with a glum expression on her face and said.
"You want to be free. I guess that I can't restrict you any more than I already have."
"You're all better now. I should allow you to be back to where you belong."
Tai-chi turned around, looked at Stella's sad face, and chirped
"Huh? You want me to leave?"
Stella held Tai-chi and raised him up to her eye level.
"Those past few days with you have been wonderful. I'm truly blessed to have been able to spend that time with you."
"Thank you for sharing your joy with me. It's great to see you in so much health I'm glad I was able to help you."
"I certainly enjoyed your company and I'm truly grateful. I'll miss you so very much."
She tried to hold back her tears as much as she possibly could.
"No I, I don't want to go if you'll be unhappy!" He chirped.
Tai-chi was really surprised at what Stella said. He didn't understand why she wanted him to go even though she'll be hurting that much. He knew if he left, she'd have no one to make her happy and he didn't want to leave her alone.
What if someone tried to hurt her while he was away. What if she got into a relationship while he's away and completely forgot about him. All those thoughts flooded his mind. He didn't want his first love to be with someone else or for her to get hurt so due to that, he tried with all his might to show her that he didn't want to leave.
"Stella! Stella, please! I don't want to leave I wanna stay here with you! Please don't make me leave. I'll do anything just don't push me away!"
Eventually, all of his attempts failed for Stella only heard the sound of chirping instead of his words plea.
She opened the window and laid him on the sill.
"Alright, now you can reunite with your family and friends."
Tai-chi stood there and didn't move an inch. Then Stella said,
" It's okay, you don't have to worry about me, I'll be alright."
Tai-chi didn't make a sound but instead looked into the azure eyes of the petite brown-haired girl.
"You can always come back and visit me, I'll always be here."
He didn't want to fly out that window.
Nevertheless, he still had his duties to attend to as a Duke serving directly under the emperor. He gathered every single reasoning he possibly had and hesitantly accepted her proposal. He decided that he'll leave earth but visit every time he could. That was his secret promise to her.
He spread his wings and hovered over the window sill. Then, he flew around Stella in circles.
"I'll certainly be back."
He chirped before finally flying off the window.
Stella went as close to the window as possible and gave him a big warm send-off waving.
"Stay safe for me okay! Come back and visit soon!"
She shouted as Tai-chi was halfway out of sight.
"I definitely will. I won't let your kindness be for nothing" he thought to himself.
"Good luck out there, "
Stella whispered as she gazed out the window.
"I wish you all the happiness in the world."
