"Stella! Stella! Wake up it's me! Stella!"
Tai-chi shouted as he embraced Stella and wept. He shook her shoulders and yelled with tears bursting from his eyes—
"Stella please open your eyes! Don't leave me!... Please! I beg of you!"
He tapped her face multiple times repeatedly shouting those words over and over. Faintly hearing his cries, Stella forcefully tried to open her eyes but was only able to slightly open them.
"It hurts. It hurts." She thought.
"... Stella! Yes that's it stay with me!"
"You? Aren't you... the person... from my dream?"
Stella again thought. She tried to open her mouth to speak but was stopped by suddenly coughing up blood. She became even weaker and couldn't keep her eyes open any longer.
"It hurts so much."
It was just as though Tai-chi could hear what Stella was thinking. He quickly told her.
"Don't worry, it'll be alright. I won't let this be the end!"
Worried more than ever, Tai-chi quickly checked her pluses in three ways. He checked her wrist, neck, and laid his head onto Stella's chest, and checked for a heartbeat.
" It's faint and she's losing too much blood. I should have stayed and protected you! It's all my fault!"
"If only I stayed and never left in the first place! I might have been able to prevent this somehow.
Stella lied in Tai-chi's arms motionless. He attempted to heal her with magic placing his hand near her cheek when a magic circle appeared at his palm. However, it quickly disintegrated into nothingness.
"No! No! No!"
Tai-chi shouted.
" My healing magic isn't working! Why at a time like this!? I'm too far away from Avalon!"
He tore strips off his cape and began bandaging Stella's wounds.
"She's slowly fading before my eyes. What is there I that I can do to save you?!"
"If only I could take you to Avalon and treat you there."
That was a great idea but, humans are not able to cross over into Avalon—a magical land.
"Maybe if I go closer to the world tree, I'll be able to heal you then!"
"Hm. But that won't work! You've lost too much blood it won't be effective.
He thought as he embraced her tightly. Suddenly he remembered something.
"There is a way to turn humans back into elves."
However, it can become grave to both the human and elf if the elf's capabilities are not great enough to uphold this situation."
"That's right! I read about that in the book!"
"If a human is supplied with the mana of an elf, a contract will automatically be formed between those two entities. This will allow the human's dormant genes to react with the host's mana allowing the human to transform into an elf acquiring a stronger survival rate as well as other elven proficiencies."
"That's right! If Stella becomes an elf, then she'll be able to heal as long as her heart is still beating! No matter how faint she'll be able to have another chance at life!"
"The contract will allow the newly converted elf to draw out mana from the host at will and subconsciously. This will be incredibly crucial for their survival. This will continue until they are able of producing their own mana. Regardless, this can only occur if said beings are linked to one another. This can be done through magic coalition."
Was what was written in the book.
" In other words, a magical marriage contract," Tai-chi whispered.
He didn't even try to remember further that was written in the book. After that last sentence, it continued and started,
"Risks of magical coalition..."
Quickly running out of time, Tai-chi utterly ignored the statement and went on his way.
***********
Tai-chi flew to the world tree once more but this time, with Stella in hand. He landed and held Stella's princess style in his strong arms. She was still bleeding through the bandages and therefore, colored tai-chi's shirt red.
"I must hurry. The time is drawing near!"
He quickly walked towards the world tree and whispered "here goes." As he kissed Stella on her forehead.
This was not an ordinary kiss but one to transfer his mana into Stella. She glowed as the mana circulated within her body.
He then raised both their left hands and placed it on a large crystal embedded in the bark of the tree. It illuminated with both their hands placed upon it. The bright light soon engulfed them and they were sent to a void with only a scroll and a quill that appeared upon their arrival.
When it opened, it was unveiled to be a magical contract. All the rules and regulations were written in Elvish fine print. Located at the very bottom were dotted lines where their signatures were to be placed.
Tai-chi first signed his name with slightly red ink. Similarly, he positioned the quill in Stella's hand and signed her name while he guided it. After the names were signed, the contract glistened along with Tai-chi and Stella. Stella only was then transported into a void.
She was slowly falling but was changing at the same time. During this time, her body was modified. Her skin became pale, ears became pointed, her hair extended vastly and changed into a beautiful lavender purple hue. Her bust became significantly larger as well as her hips. But above all, all of her wounds were completely healed!
After her transformation, her clothes changed into a flowing lightweight wedding gown when she fell exactly into Tai-chi's arms. His clothing had also changed as well. He wore an all-white tuxedo that looked great together with Stella's gown They were both just a little far away from Tai-chi's mansion but the crossover to Avalon was successful as well as Stella's transformation. Tai-chi immediately checked her pulses again.
*Badum*Badum*Badum*Badum
"Her heart rate's back to normal as well as her breathing!" He joyfully said.
"Stella's still unconscious but at least she's ok," was what he thought. He smiled happily and hugged her exceedingly tightly right there on the spot.
"I'm so glad...*sniff... I'm glad you're ok Stella..so very glad I was able to save you!" He cried.
While hugging her, he noticed that a ring had appeared on Stella's left finger.
"...A ring."
He promptly looked at his hand and indeed saw a ring of the same design now on his finger. It was instantly followed by Tai-chi intensely blushing at the sight. He was now Stella's husband. He and the one he loved most were now spouses. It made him blush even more at the fact. Still astonishing to him, he remained blushing for quite a while.
It was soon sunset in Avalon and the area shortly became colder. Noticing this and not wanting her to catch a cold, he had calmed down and whispered to Stella,
"Happy wedding day to us sweetie."
He lifted her bridal style and cuddled her before eventually saying—
"Let's go home,"
"honey."
