I'm starting to feel my limbs again as consciousness takes over and my eyelids lift heavily. There is no light where I am but I can easily tell by the smell that they have me in a dungeon. Probably surrounded by rogues.
I try to lean forward only to be pulled back. Then I realize the situation I'm in. I have a silver collar around my neck keeping me close to the old brick wall, two handcuffs on my wrists keeping the hem pinned to the wall, and a thicker and heavier weight surrounded my abdomen pulling it back. All in all, I was sitting straight up and trapped.
And I felt violated. My red hoodie that I was wearing today was gone and in its place was an overly large tshirt and I had no bottoms on. I wasn't even wearing underwear underneath. I felt vulnerable and I hated that feeling.
I could feel the memories from the day I left my Dad's pack press on the back of my mind but I paid them no attention. I began looking around the room for some type of way to get out. As I had thought, I was correct. I was in a silver cell surrounded by others who were chained differently than me. No one's was the same and most of them looked painful.
"Look. She's awake." A hushed voice came from my left. I quickly turned to the voice and growled at them.
Laughter erupted from around me. "Was that...a growl?" A voice from my right called out.
"Hey! Don't pick on her! She's just a late bloomer. Out there is harsh enough to get you to learn the ways of the rogue style in a different way." The voice from the left said. Everyone around me stopped laughing and little hushed voices around me died down as well.
"Where am I?" I asked after a minute of silence.
"The Running Moon's dungeon." The voice from the left answered. The others around me stayed quiet listening. For rogues, they seemed....calm.
"Who are you?" I asked another question as I began to evaluate the chains. Maybe if I used all of my strength I might make it out.
"The names Drake. And you ain't going to get out of those chains. We watched as the alpha himself came down here with you and chained you up. He also put in a camera at the corner of your cell. Talk about a creep." Drake spat. Others around me agreed.
We talked for a couple hours or what seemed like it after that. I found out that I was surrounded by eight males. I was the only female. I only learned Drakes name being he was the only one to talk. He told me how he had accidently crossed the territory and he was thrown in here last week. Same with some others. Apparently this pack went by trials instead of kill on sight. And they weren't even rogues. They were a small pack of wolves called Loners. They were lone wolves who hated the rules and chains that held them down in a real pack. Some told their story of how they left or were kicked out of their pack. When it came to me, I only told them that I was different.
"I would love to see your eyes." Drake stated. "I bet their beautiful."
I laughed at that. "Trust me. You would probably just call me demon and walk away." That's what happened every single time no matter what.
"Nah. They might be weird but it's unique. That means your wolf will be rare. Something that you don't see everyday." He chuckled. I liked Drake. He had a good personality and was sweet.
We all stopped talking as the metal door to the dungeon swung open and someone switched the lights on blinding us all. I hissed and lowered my head letting my dark hair cover my eyes.
"Wow." Drake said from beside me. I looked up noticing how everyone was staring at me. Everyone but the gaurd that came in with a note pad. The loners around me were wearing shorts with no shirts and had dirt splayed across their bodies. I looked to my left at Drake. He had sun kissed skin with brown eyes and sandy hair. He looked me in the eyes and as I thought he would throw a nasty word at me, he smiled. I was shocked and confused.
"Told you. Your beautiful." He said with a nod of approval.
A loud and angry growl came from the doorway making the gaurd lower his head quickly and show his neck. I looked up to the doorway and instantly frowned on the inside. It was the man from before out in the woods. How long had I been asleep by the way?
The man quickly but quietly stomped his way to Drake and glared him daggers. If looks could kill, Drake would be six feet under. Drake held a blank expression as the man growled at him.
"Don't talk to my mate, rogue." He spat with hate to him. Drake sighed with annoyance. I could tell that he had tried explaining that he wasn't a rogue.
The man then turned to me slowly and visibly, I could see him slightly relax. He walked towards me and leaned against the cage to look at me. Studying me. Annoying me. Tempting me with his eyes to try and escape.
I did the opposite. I relaxed against the chains like I was sitting in a comfy chair in front of a warm fire. I through a smirk at him. "Sup, f*ck fa-"
"Shut up and quit using curse words. It ruins you. Turns you rotten." He said deeply still staring intently at me. Yet, he avoided my eyes and focused on my tattoo. I could see his fists clench and unclench. "Who marked you?" He gritted out through his teeth.
I was confused for a second before it dawned on me. I burst into laughter startling him. He jumped and looked at me confused. "What?!" He yelled and started walking to the middle of the room. I decided to play with him a bit.
"I'm not telling you." I said in a hushed but clear voice. He tensed up at my answer and nodded stifly.
"Okay. If that's how we are going to be." He snapped his fingers and a woman came from one of the shadows. I hadn't noticed her there before. She had long flowing blond hair that reached her ankles and wore a red dress that hugged her tightly. Kinda reminded me of one of those girls who give themselves to any guy she lands eyes on.
"Cassandra," He said to the woman. "Remove whoevers mark that is from my mate. Now." He demanded. I froze. She was a witch. A damned witch. I struggled in the chains now. I had ran into a witch a couple years back and it didn't turn out so well.
The man walked over a unlocked my cage door allowing Cassandra to walk in and head straight for me. I pushed myself further into the wall trying to put more distance between us.
She stepped slowly towards me. Every step she took she earned a growl from the wolves in the other cages.
"Don't you dare freaking touch her!" Drake yelled. The man from the forest earlier glared and growled at Drake. He looked ready to kill him.
"Hold still." Cassandra said as she bent down on her knees and reached her hand out to my shoulder to touch the line that ran around my neck. I squirmed and struggled even more to get away from her hand.
As soon as her hand came in contact with the line, I screamed loudly. It was a bloody scream as I felt hot liquid pour from where she touched and down my skin. It scorched me before dripping onto whoever's shirt this was. Cassandra gasped and stepped away from me quickly.
I struggled for breath as I felt my blood wrap itself around my neck and strangle me to knock me out so my neck will heal. I knew the feeling and I welcomed it as dark spots entered my vision and I was forced to sleep. Again.
