After I wake up, I realize my next fight is about to start. I check to see if Ruby is up yet, but she is still out. I make my way over to the gym in a hurry. "Why do I do this every single time" I say annoyed. I pick up my pace, moving the earth under my feet to give me a speed boost. It doesn't really do much but it's some good practice. I make it to the gym just to hear my name get called for my match.
I walk up to the ring looking at the other fights going on in the arenas beside me. I spot the guy who had beat me in my first round. He effortlessly dodged all his opponents attacks before knocking him out with a clean jab to the head. I stand there in amazement of how easily he just beat him. I'm going to get stronger and one day beat him, but before that I need to get in to this school. I look at the other side of the arena and no one is there. The ref begins to countdown and I'm confused, " why are you starting the countdown there's no one else here." The countdown ends and I'm puzzled, when I get hit in the mouth. "What the hell," I say caught off guard.
It must be some type of illusion or invisibility type power. I try to listen in for sounds and I hear a footstep from my left. I coat my leg in fire and throw a high kick to their head and I hear a loud smack. Guess he didn't expect that. I start to get excited that I won when I got swerved onto the ground. They've got me in a headlock. I put fire on my hands and burn his arms. He lets out a yell but doesn't let go. I elbow him in the face and I stand up. I start to get excited believing I had won when I get swept off my feet. I bang my head on the ground and my back hurts. I stand up trying to listen in again but there's no sound. I hear a breath from my left and I throw a punch, it doesn't hit. Where did he go. I wait for a while when I hear a crack. Is he cracking his knuckles right now. I throw a punch to where I heard the sound and I actually hit. What an idiot. I finally get a good look at him because his power is deactivated. He is built pretty well just under 6 foot. I leave the arena realizing I only need one more win to get into the academy.
