Chapter 6 - Ch. 6 Dodging the outcome Part 2

At the whistle, the boys and girls who played sports ran fearlessly to the center to retrieve their weapons, the red rubber balls.

Alex, Carmichael, Liam and Blaze from the opposite team and Alessia, Mina, Rosa and Mira from her own team, were in the center already firing off red balls at their targets. The main eight dodged every ball in true athletic fashion, but their efforts were not in vain, they struck others with less physical ability behind their intended targets. Several of them who didn't want to participate to begin with were grateful to be out and made their way off the court, before they were pelted again.

Olivia wasn't about to let them have all the fun and sprinted for a red weapon rolling away from Shay, who stood there in absolute shock staring at her hands. She had tried to put her hands up and block a ball sent by Liam, but the force in which it was thrown broke two of her finely manicured nails.

Olivia couldn't help but smile inside at her bullies plight. 'Serves her right,' she thought. Her thought captured Alex and Sia's attention and they too smirked. Liam and Blaze sent two more balls sailing at the unaware girl, just for spite. One hitting her square in the stomach and the other her forehead, throwing her back into the wall.

"I was already out!" She screamed at the opposing team. "Then get off the court!" Blaze yelled back. She turned angrily and ran for the girls locker room.

"Looks like someone isn't going to Paris this summer." Rosa smirked and quickly dodged a ball thrown by Carmichael.

'Cheap shot,' Rosa thought at him. He smirked at her and threw another. Rosa caught it and gloated. 'Off the court, golden boy!'

Carmichael was stunned by her, 'I like this one.' He thought as he made his way to the side lines never taking his eyes off her.

Only the boys heard his comment. Which made Blaze narrowed his eyes at him. 'She's spoken for,' he thought to Carmichael intimidatingly.

'Does she know this?' He thought back with a smirk. Which caused Blaze to send a rubber missile spinning at his face. Carmichael caught it with his large right hand and tossed it to the girls. 'Pelt him for me Miss Rosa,' he thought to her sweetly, giving her a devilishly charming smile.

Rosa gladly accepted his weapon, 'I sure will,' she smiled brightly, flashing her pearly whites.

Blaze watched the interaction between them with burning jealousy.

Alex was sure this would not end well.

Olivia grabbed a ball that rolled by her and sailed it at an already occupied Blaze, it bounced off his temple, making his head whip to the side.

Blaze spun around to see who had the audacity, to see her standing their with an apologetic expression. 'Sorry,' she mouthed.

'Well what do you know, she's not a weakling,' he thought to the others and left the court, to stand far away from Carmichael.

Rosa and Mina tag teamed Liam sending a ball each at his legs. 'Damn that stung, did you have to put all your strength behind it?' He thought, stiff legged as he removed himself from the court and stood beside Carmichael.

Alessia, Mira and Via concentrated on Alex. He dodged the first two, but the one Via sent caught him off guard, tagging his right knee causing his leg to give out. Landing him in a kneeling position and ending the first match. The girls cheered when the coach blew his whistle.

"Gather the balls back to the center," The coach ordered, "and switch sides." The teams complied and took their positions. The coach blew the whistle and the second game began.

By the end of class the girls had won all three games, due to Alex ordering them not to attack Olivia. The battle had left most of their exposed skin baring bright red spots and pouring sweat.

Only Olivia was without a single red mark. "I got lucky, I didn't get hit even once." She stated excitedly.

Blaze was beyond irritated by the turn out.

'I don't know why you are dead set on treating her like a glass figure, she won't break Alex!' He thought angrily.

'I'm not going against orders, Blaze!' He thought back with irritation.

'Please tell me your manhood isn't that fragile because you lost to the girls?' Mira thought back.

'It wasn't fair!' Blaze replied angrily.

'Now who's fragile?' Mira thought back.

Which caused him to storm off to the boys locker room.

'I think you hurt his little feelings.' Mina thought, with a hearty laugh.

Carmichael who was a few feet away and drenched in sweat, walked to Rosa, who was standing at the edge of the court drinking from a water bottle. "Miss Rosa, may I have a word with you?" He asked politely.

Rosa became very aware of his close proximity and her cheeks turned pink. 'Sure.' She thought.

Her breathing was suddenly strained for a completely different reason. 'Damn human emotions,' she thought after she cut off everyone else from her thoughts. "Can we talk after I freshen up? We have lunch after this, can we talk then?" She asked him.

"Sure," he replied with a charming smile. "I'll see you in the cafeteria." He stated, before turning and heading to the locker room.

The others turned to look at Rosa, 'What?' She thought at them with a slight smirk. Olivia looked at everyone questioningly, "Did I miss something?" She asked Alessia. "I have a feeling we're all about to witness Blaze loosing his shit." She replied laughing.

Alex narrowed his eyes at her, 'Language!' He thought loudly.

"Oh shut it Alex!" She snapped back, out loud.

Olivia became even more confused because Alex hadn't said anything. Well at least not that she could hear.

"Come on V, let's get freshened up. I'm drenched in sweat." She said making a gross face.

Liam grabbed Alessia around the waist and spun her around squeezing her tightly and rubbing his sweaty body all over hers.

She squealed with laughter, "Liam stop! It's gross!" and tried to escape, but he knew she didn't mean it.

"Now you're drenched with my sweat too!" Liam said playfully, refusing to release her.

"Didn't you two get enough of each other last weekend?" Alex said annoyed.

"Never!" Liam said. He kissed her neck, sending chills through her body, and sat her on her feet.

'Come on, or we're going to miss lunch,' Alex thought to him. Liam made a pouty face at his lover, 'sorry baby,' he thought. He kissed her cheek and released her, tailing after Alex.

Alessia grabbed Olivia by the hand and pulled her to their locker room to shower and change, before their lunch period.
