This is going to be difficult for the two of us but there is no other choice but to do it. I started by pouring all my Thyl into my two feet so that I could generate enough flames to propel us out of here, I'm also planning to use corrosion on the air. There seems to be a slight crack on top of the dome where I could see the orange hue of the sun...it was almost evening!
"Jade...this is going to be a tedious task but please forgive me, it's also almost nightfall so we need to be quick here, make sure to grab on to me tightly so that you won't fall."
"Are you out of your mind?! Your planning to fly?"
"It's more like cut the space in the air, that should be enough to pull us, and don't worry I have this amazing technique to propel us through the air."

Before she could finish what she was going to say, I released the pent up Thyl in my legs. A huge burst of fire released and the force was enough to push us up in the air. Jade tried to scream but she kept it in, instead of screaming she gripped me even tightly so that she wouldn't fall. As we were in mid-air, swiftly I brandished the Nemax as I imbued it with corrosion, we quickly cut through the air and I reached out my hand to grab on to the crack in the ceiling...I wasn't able to reach it and I'm exhausted...crap we're going to fall...
"You sure are useless in times like this, Wind crown fragment: Sylph's Cradle!"
I was amazed as a platform of air was created under us, we safely got back to the ceiling. I had to give it to Jade for saving ourselves...what a talented crown user. I used expand on the Nemax while still having corrosion imbued in it as I broke down the brittle stone ceiling which leads to the surface.
"You...really...are...a...life...saver..." I gasped for air as I was so burnt out
"I'll take that as a compliment then..." she replied coldly
"Let's return to the associations building...I wonder how the others are..."
"Don't worry, they'll be fine."
"Oh, you can be kind sometimes eh?"
"This is a special event that'll never happen again!" she went back to being cold
As the sun has set, night came and the shining stars of the sky appeared twinkling away as the cold air flowed through our surroundings. Our surroundings were a mess, buildings suffered collateral damaged, boulders pinned on corpses, and the smell of blood mixed with the cold air...was all of this brought here by me? This seems to be a planned attack...
"Are you alright?" I asked, as the look on Jade's face was unpleasant
"For now I guess..."
Well, I wouldn't judge her for having a horrible experience...dead people littered the streets, this part of the capital was as lifeless as it gets. It seems that the capital was able to prevent further damage to the other districts and somehow just contained it here, but who knows. We continued to walk in silence as the lifeless bodies around us just made it more difficult for us to traverse through the ruined district. A few hours have passed as we walked down the main street, we finally arrived at the associations building which still looked somehow intact thanks to its fortifications I guess...
"C'mon let's look for them!" Suddenly as I was about to walk to the entrance, Jade tugged my torn and tattered clothes as to stop me.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Don't go in rushing so fast, you don't know what could happen."
So she was worried...well I ain't going to tease her for now...I slowly walked forward as she followed behind me while still tugging my clothes. The lobby had a few lamps that were still burning while the others were blown out thanks to the sheer magnitude of the battles that took place here.
"It sure is a bit creepy in here..."
"yeep!"
"What was that...?"
"Maybe a floorboard?"
I had my suspicions but I'm pretty sure that came from Jade...
"Let's head down to the testing area since that's where I parted ways with my friends."
"Lead the way."
We went to the west corridor and if I remember correctly that there should be a passage leading down to where the test area is...the lobby was also lifeless and hopefully my friends are fine...with each step down the creaky wooden stairs, my heartbeat was faster than usual...fear may have caught up to me and I was very anxious...
"They're fine, they're fine, they're fine..."
"Tarus?"
"Ah! N-no need to worry, I was just speaking to myself!"
"You look like a ghost, your skin is pale and your developing eye bags under your eyes. How would I not worry?"
"S-sorry about that! Let's keep heading down then!"
I wiped my face with the sleeve of my arm as we continued heading down. We finally reached the testing area...it was dead silent...I ran in panic, accidentally leaving Jade.
"Tarus!"
It was a bit foggy down here and I suddenly got lost.
"Jade! Where did you go?!"
Nothing replied to me but utter silence...my vision suddenly got dark...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
I screamed in pain as my limbs were cut off violently, something also pierced my chest and my beating black heart was there. A murky black thick liquid which I presume to be my blood formed around me as I fell face-first to the ground. Suddenly memories flooded my mind, individuals were suffering an unfavorable death, I could feel the pain from their last final moments, their cries and thirst for revenge were strong enough to make a sain person insane. My consciousness was fleeting and all I could think about was this one blurry image of a girl standing a few feet away for me...who was she again?
